I know those trails you rode in the video, how did the bike handle chunk? Suspension keep up with the repeated hits at speed? How would it do in some of the tighter, narrow riding that is in the area? Given battery size, in boost, how long did it take you to get up to the top and what was the range you were able to experience? Great to see local riding featured in a video.
@mikesbikes2 күн бұрын
Thanks for the questions. The bike handled chunk really well, very composed and I feel like slacker front ends absorb impacts a bit better. As for tight and twisty, it handles it fine as long as the trail is steep (like the C Camp trails). It's flatter terrain where the slackness may hinder you. My front end would understeer a bit on the flatter stuff, like Tamo. As for range, I didn't do a full long ride to see how far I could go but it seemed in line with other full power bikes. The smaller battery and lighter weight balance each other out.

Oh, I really want to get one and after this review even more! But I can't decide which model. I'm 6'4" and weigh around 220 lbs in full training mode, so let's just say I'm not exactly built for aero. :-) Should I go for the SuperSix EVO 3, which I can snag for $3,200? Or should I dig deeper into my already empty pockets and splurge on the EVO 2 or 1, which i can could get for $5,500? Are the upgrades worth the extra $2,200?

I bought one from your store in Denver and have been truly enjoying it. Yes, it's a little heavy, but not nearly like the other full power bikes. I'm calling it the Goldilocks bike: Not too heavy, not too light (and underpowered), it's just right. The range I'm getting so far is amazing, and the build kit at this price point (I got the SL1 model) is top-of-the-line. So far, I love it, and having ridden other E-MTB's such as Specialized, Yeti, and Orbea, this Cannondale handles as well or better than any of them. So glad I waited until this year to get an E-MTB.

38mm to 40mm maximum tire clearance In 700C is NOT enough for current gravel racing trends. Tires are only getting bigger.

@@petersouthernboy6327 I was told some 45mm will fit, if the knobs are thin enough. Also, 650b should fit up to 47mm, with front having 50mm clearance if you can mullet the tires.
@petersouthernboy6327Ай бұрын
@@drill_fiend1097 the issue for 650’s, at least for racing, is that the 700’s are going to roll faster. The most prominent element is that in US gravel events - everyone is going wider because it’s *faster*
@Jasongristick24 күн бұрын
38- 42 is what the pros use because they use much bigger chain rings than us. Not all frames can handle both big tires and large drivetrains. It also depends on the type of gravel, how much tarmac. If you run 45 or bigger you will get dropped on certain tracks. I see 45 to 50 for endurance races like unbound. Definitely not at worlds

The vast majority of working class people are dealing with inflation rate increases on everything from food and utilities and insurance and rent or mortgages, transportation, etc.etc. Groupsets for bicycles costing over $4000 isn't realistic for the average cyclist and they certainly aren't needed for anyone even if you are rich. WTF is the industry thinking? Any wonder it's in trouble.

isnt that the same with all products? from food to clothes, cars to bikes, the top level 9even middle) is always unattainable for most, we'll all wait for the trickle down to lower prices. After the first wave of launch, even red will start having discounts too.
