First Look! VMP/Whipple S650 Supercharger

During its annual Open House at its New Smyrna Beach, Florida, campus on February 18, 2024, VMP Performance announced a new partnership with Whipple Superchargers that launches with VMP-branded Gen 6 supercharger for the 2024 Mustang GT and Dark Horse. Then the first car - a 2024 Mustang GT automatic - equipped with a kit hit the dyno and put down big power.

As long as Whipple is the only supercharger that Ford is allowing access to the ECM. They have the 24 Mustang on lockdown.

Let's see the mod list. A 12:1 compression motor isn't going to make 800HP to the tire on pump gas.

That's what happens when ONLY whipple can tune the locked 2024 ecu, a monopoly is NOT good for us

@@dustingre8Yes. Whipple got fords blessing somehow (probably that supersnake program) and no only they have a tune. 2024 is otherwise locked. Best solution is to avoid the s650 entirely until full tuning becomes available. For a company like vmp, they clearly had to either go whipple or lose tons of business. Makes sense from that standpoint. Maybe they’ll work on r and d and develop custom stuff down the line or supporting mods, but for now its a rebranded gen 6 whipple

@@AJUSA1 More or less what I thought. If I were to get another coyote, it would be an 18-20 f150. I’m not a huge fan of the s650 but to each their own. Exterior is alright but I don’t like the look of iPads glued to the dash.
