Before sharpening, the first tape (80 grit) had a smooth cutting edge, and then a recurve appeared. On 80 grit tape, you need to sharpen more accurately (do not put much pressure on blade) and move the blade faster.

I got mine about a week ago. All my once dull knives are extremely sharp now. The green belt is coarse, and the red belt is medium.

I have ordered one of these. Hope it's better than the work sharp precision adjust knife sharpener which I recently purchased and is junk.

You should remove the thumbstud if possible when it interfere with the belt, otherwise you will grind it and also skew the angle of sharpening, and add wear to the belt.

The tab, when opening the box, did not state made in Ashland, Oregon. It says designed and quality checked there. It would be nice to know how much Chinese junk is in it.

Kept the knife in one spot too long at the start of the draw caused a recurve in your edge.

Great tool, however if anything happens to break you are screwed! Work Sharp offers no parts! Mine had 20 minutes and the clear plastic gear coming off the motor broke and after several e-mails and phone calls I was told that they do not offer parts! Nothing but Chinese JUNK!
