Also just some advice for problems I ran into, if your car was produced after 06/20, you need to ship your dme to femto in Finland for them to unlock it so you can tune it. If your car was produced before 06/20 and you have the newest bmw software update, you have to get a dme bench unlock from a local tuner shop. Lastly, there are two obd ports on the m340i, the obd port that sticks out right next to the hood release is a “dummy” obd port and does not function, you have to open the plastic compartment right below it, it has a twist knob that when opened reveals the real obd port inside the dash. Once I plugged it into the real obd port, everything worked properly and I was able to read codes and tune my car.

Are you getting rattling on cold start?? That didn’t sound like any other vrsf I’ve heard. Otherwise apart from that rattle/rasp, it did sound good.

Fuuuudge was thinking about a catless downpipe but sounds like it might be to exagirating loud lol.. i already have muffler delete and burger motorsports intake tube.. question though.. i know when going catless there's that foul smell.. on a 1-10 how bad would you say it is?? I just got an m340i last month, installed dp’s and got an mhd ots stage 2. Highly recommend mhd, super easy to use and convenient. You can change the burbles, cold start reduction, and flash a tune whenever you’d like. I’m still new to this platform as well but so far mhd has given me no issues.

I don’t believe catless really has much benefit over a high flow cat unless you’re really chasing some huge numbers. I couldn’t deal with the smell and soot in a street car anymore.
