Sigh! Still wishing you could have caught the install from start to finish! From talking about placing boom placement, running hard line, thrust blocks, delivery and crane usage ugh. That could have been a series!

@@bowenike So my good buddy Dann from the channel has a couple of placing-booms going up in the not so distant future here. I’ll see if he and I can put something together. Dann is great at explaining the process of these things and is also is far more knowledgeable with regard placing-boom systems than I myself am.

@@canadianconcretepumper1979 haha Dan definitely seems to spend a lot of his time (more than he likes) on placing booms than regular boom pump jobs. That would honestly be a great series of videos

@@bowenike I'm terrible at thinking about filming while I'm doing something. To much of my work ethic is just "get it done" and relax and think about other things after I'm ready for what I'm responsible for.

@@dannpriebe oh trust me I 100% get that, I was thinking it would come out something more like this video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qc5dpdB41pO6fJ8.htmlsi=WyvR3qTFNvsu_v-- And the necessary post editing voice notes when necessary 😂 I’d even fly in as free tourist labor if thats what it took!

Happy birthday Scott!🎉 Those new drone videos are great!! 👌🏾 Quick question Why don't you guys blow back into the mixer at the end of the day?
@canadianconcretepumper1979
@canadianconcretepumper1979 Ай бұрын
@@luissoto6880 I’m loving this drone!!! The amount of footage I can cover in such a short time versus running around on foot has really help in making my videos more time efficient. We don’t blow back into the mixer here for a few reasons, the biggest one being that there have been isolated incidents of the candy-cane setups popping out of mixer drums and damaging property and/or people. Ready mix companies aren’t hot on us blowing back into their drums for safety reasons as well as the fact that doing so requires holding their truck and driver on site later into the day when they are often nearing the threshold of “timing out” (mandated 14 hours maximum work day for commercial drivers). The other thing is that ready mix companies now charge for any leftovers which come back to the plant at days end, so most any cost savings their previously would have been from blowing concrete out into a mixer versus purging it into a rock bin and paying to have it trucked away are now, near mitigated.

It makes sense Yeah a lot of things could go wrong on blowing back into the trucks That's why when I chain down the candy cane into the mixer I always double check everything.

Young kid training on the boom, he's doing pretty well for a newer guy. Doesn't help much in that these placing-boom setups can tend to move around a little bit more than a conventional boom pump would.
@repaircollc
@repaircollc Ай бұрын
@canadianconcretepumper1979 Right on! He'll figure it out in a floor or two. I really hope you can catch the raising operation of the boom tower height. This is gonna be an awsome job for your drone, can't wait for the next one! Thanks again for bringing us along ✌️

@@repaircollc So Dann and I actually did a video a while back on which we went through the jacking process of a Putzmeister placing-boom setup (see attached link). I definitely plan to document the process throughout the progression of this project with the Alliance setup 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eK6carOEmZjHqGg.htmlsi=7ovRGJPhiOwz5T86

High chem mixes + warm/hot summer days. When you get close to being done. Do you start putting delay set into the pump so it gives you more time to blow out the pipe?
@canadianconcretepumper1979
@canadianconcretepumper1979 Ай бұрын
@@mikeeemike988 Exactly! We do our best to start mixing delay into the hopper and/or ready mix truck as such that we can get the pipeline filled with as much of the delayed concrete as possible, yet avoid working it all the way through the system and ending up in the finished pour area.
