I'm gonna get SneekyTuned as soon as I install my new Autotech HPFP that's on the way Like you I thought I was going to be OK with Unitronic tune because they said it was conservative but honestly it's no fun anymore once I really got into modding

Loved your impressions video. I suggest setting up a mic for videos like this though. Can barely hear you talking at all through most of it. Car sounds great and deff scoots though. Can't wait to see more.

@@NoN_228 Personally I went for the is20 hybrid because it spools faster and is a bit better for daily driving. It will hit boost about 300 rpm's sooner than an is38 hybrid. I chose this just based off where I live. There aren't tons of roads to really ring out the gears. So for that reason I wasn't as dead set on the higher top end you get from the is38 hybrids. The tpc20 still pulls like crazy all the way to redline and in the end it isn't as likely to cause issues with the engine as it is only able to make around 500 whp without the assistance of methanol or nitrous.

Yup is20 rly drops off by 70mph I am stage 1 EQT tho so idk if a DP a and tune opens up the top end

MK7 GTI and I'm EQT stage 2 with a cts dp, xforce varex catback, rs3 coil pack, and I can assure you the drop off goes away after stage 2, really opens that top end. I came from APR stage 1 with no other mods. Not really sure where the drop off is now, maybe like 120mph. 137mph is all I've gotten it up to so far and it felt like it had more to give.

Thank you! It’s a custom Catback paired with a catless downpipe, 3 inches all the way through using 1 Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonator and 2 Universal performance mufflers to a 4 inch quad tip.

How do you feel about the ecs tuning dog bone mount? I always hear mix reviews, but idk if I should go with an ecs tuning one or a 034 motorsport.

I ran their insert for a while but went to the 034. The ECS insert does the job for a good price but is night and day from that to the 034 mount.

Honest question: Why do aftermarket companies make the DSG paddle shifters so large, when nobody hardly ever, if ever, uses the top or bottom portion of it to shift? It’s almost always the middle portion of it. Great video. Can’t wait to see what the results are with the final revision 🤙

Personally I find myself using the upper and lower parts during turning rather than regular driving. I definitely understand your point though. I believe it is honestly for looks as well, that is another reason why I got them as well as the metal paddle feels nicer in the hands

Already on it! Thanks for the looking out though. The plugs look good(brand new) and the coil packs are on order, should be here tomorrow. If that is not it then looks like I will be pulling my injectors for at least a cleaning if not replacement.

Yessir! I run EQT’s Stage 3 TCU tune with a custom pro tune from SneekyTuned. All done through the Cobb AP and they work flawlessly together.

It’s all practically the same tuning. All the different tuner companies use the same parameters when tuning, so it’s not that big of a deal having different companies in tunes.

It's way faster , stock is38s are good for around 380-400 max tpc20s I've seen make 450-470 . That's a powerful turbo .

In the last none at all! This file there was a slight miscommunication between Sneeky and I and the car was not tuned for the 4/5bar sensors which was causing some afr issues. All I did was put back in my oem sensors and the car ran great. Did some datalogs and am now back on the upgraded sensors running with no issues.

If for some reason you have a small oil leak and it soaks into the turbo blanket that shit will catch fire! Seen it happen on a few cars. Id steer clear of using one.

Is the tpc20 a base off of the is20? Like is there a tpc38? I see the shruenk is38 is less than half the price of this

The Shuenk Is38 is just an is38, nothing too special. good for around 400 whp on e85 generally. The TPC20 is a hybrid turbo that uses Garret internals as well as a Ball Bearing design rather than a journal bearing system like the Shuenk or oem IHI turbos. This TPC20 uses an IS20 hotside and IS38 coldside. Both are board to fit a larger compressor wheel, this makes a for a very responsive and powerful turbo good for at least 500 whp with correct fueling.

@@HaydenCroix this has upgraded bearings as well the + usually is upgraded over stock like they have a k04+ with different blades and bearings as well just they around 1k and the tpc turbos are over double .I see they are sold out right now but with the amount of times you told people to get the tpc in sure you didn't pay anything at all for yours as turbo parts Canada is trying to rebuild their name after years of horrors stories on the forums .I only think that cause you said to buy tpc20 like 20 times in the vidja

@@onelowvdub I did purchase mine(at a small discount), and the reason I recommend it is because it is the only one I can speak on. But trust me there is a reason these turbos are more expensive. If you happen to join the national big turbo group on FB for the mqb platform you will see most guys running full frames run a TPC variant of turbo. On top of that I wasn't looking for an "IS38+" setup. I wanted a full blown hybrid turbo such as the TPC20 (I also considered Vortex Standard)

Yes, a decent bit of both but only at certain speeds. I will be adding in a dynomax 12 inch body performance muffler after the Vibrant Ultra Quiet Res and before the universal mufflers in the rear hopefully this coming week. Just waiting on an opening at the shop.

Nope not yet, I like to work my way into things one step at a time so when I’m the power bug bites me I can just do a couple mods and up the power. So for now I will sit around 420-440 whp then down the road will do lpfp and mpi and bump it up again.

Had VW made a decent manual trans for our cars that could hold even a stage 1 tune I would have opted for it. Since they did not I couldn't pass up the DSG. I test drove both back to back and the DSG won my heart on this one.

Turbo muffler delete built into it? 😂🤣. Or you can just not out a turbo muffler on it in the first place.

That is exactly what it is. Do some research you will see that it has no turbo muffler so therefore the delete is built in. I never ran a muffler delete on my IS20 as it doesn’t really serve a purpose.

@@Drewdownkali I don’t think you understand how a hybrid turbo works. It had one at one point because it uses an oem IS38 cold side. They cut it off and replace it with a “straight pipe” that is slightly larger bore for a better flowing turbo.

@@HaydenCroix hybrid is electric combined with conventional. Hence hybrid. And since when are the turbo mufflers actually part of the turbo? You just take the bolts off and replace with another part. You don't have to cut them off.

Lol TPC20 is a hybrid. It has a lot more headroom than an IS38. It's like the Vortex Standard (which is EQT's IS20 hybrid). Which both are good for 400-500hp between pump & ethanol. IS38's are only good for just breaking 400whp maxed on full E85. Not to mention, the pencil thin shafts of the IHI IS38 are known to snap when pushing them that hard. TPC20 isn't a big turbo, sure. But it is bigger than an IS38.

Like Peylix stated. This is a hybrid turbo that is much more capable than an IS38. It is able to make over 400 whp easily on 93 octane whereas the IS38 would be capped around 380 on 93 in the right conditions. But if you want to break the 400 whp mark without E85 or Methanol you have to go at least hybrid turbo.
