Great question! I wish I knew the answer lol, but I'm honestly not sure, there is no signs of damage to it though. I guess the grill sacrificed itself for it.

Freaking hell man. Glad you are safe and nothing major happened to the car. I did a +- 630 mile (1000 km) round trip last weekend in my Golf 7 R. She was amazing and faultless. Just hated the trucks on the road with a few very inconsiderate drivers. Removing the fog lights will make it look a tad like the R. I kinda wish the R had fog lights and not only the daytime running lights. All the way from South Africa 🤘🏼

As far as the street tuning portion of it goes yes. After we dyno to get a baseline I will be renting some dyno time to dial in the rest of the 93 tune as well as at least an e48 mix tune too.
