your reactions are so fun! To answer your questions - yes, TOP is a smoker haha. He's quite open about it - you can find lots of photoshoots that include pics of him smoking, same with GD. And he uses both "Top" and "tee-oh-pee." :) TOP is very much an OG kpop rapper - deep-voiced rappers in kpop today are to some extent modelled after him. He was the first "legit" (underground) rapper to become an idol, so a lot of people credit him (and GD) for legitimizing rap in kpop - before them the 'rapper' was just whoever in the group couldn't sing lol. I agree with everyone who said you should finish the MADE album first! It's probably a good idea to go in reverse chronological order - start with the most recent stuff and then work your way backwards. Also, generally speaking their live performances are stronger than their recordings so I recommend checking out lives whenever possible! AND they're all very successful soloists, so you should check out their solo stuff too - good places to start are TOP's Doom Dada, G-Dragon's Bullshit, and Taeyang's Eyes, Nose, Lips

There’s no other group that is as savage as Bigbang. They literally slapped all the haters’ opinions on them in Fantastic Baby. Daesung was accidentally involved in a car crash that caused someone to die. He was innocent tho and you can look that up if you want. Here in Fantastic Baby he sings in front of what looks like a burnt car. Next, before this MV was released, a Japanese tabloid released some photos of Seungri and a model got intimate together. Turns out that the accusation was wrong. And here in the video you can see Seungri is being surrounded by women, satirizing the issue.

Fantastic Baby was an epic comeback. If I remember correctly, a lot of issues have been attached to the members. If you see in the MV, there are "no music" or "stop music" everywhere. It represents Bigbang's detractors and the issues they try to attack Bigbang with. But in the end, their music prevailed and they overturn their detractors and reclaimed their thrones as kings. ps. each scene with the members in the MV symbolizes either their previous issues/current personal situations. If you see the english translation, you'll understand more about how the deep the song is. Thats how amazing Bigbang is, theyre genius song writers/music creators/performers. You can also check out each member's solo and sub-unit songs, live and not live performances. Theyre so different individually, they are into different genres, yet they click so well as a group. Ah.. fantastic baby brings back some great memories. It was THE SONG of the year and it started the whole EDM vibe in kpop. There used to be a drinking game for BB music videos going around back in the day. It made all the parties where I forced my friends to listen to Kpop so much fun! hehe. I tried looking for the instructions but they are lost somewhere. But here are a few points I do remember from the game: If there is an animal in the MV, drink When GD's hair changes color, drink Crazy color hair on the other members, drink Beat switch, drink Western girls in the MV, drink Taeyang without a shirt, drink The good old days of 2nd gen kpop. Please keep the BIGBANG reactions coming - both MVs and live stages maybe. It's great to have people witness how I felt from going up with them since 2008. When Fantastic Baby dropped, everyone went crazy. So many international kpop fans became kpop fans because of BIGBANG back when they were active. It's wild because not a lot of Koreans knew about BIGBANG's impact over here. Also BIGBANG work on their music by themselves, with GD being very well known for being a scary perfectionist. There's an old clip of him making Seungri repeat the same line dozens of times while he's monitoring, trying to get Seungri to do it perfectly.

So basically back in 2011 BIGBANG went through very big controversies. G Dragon got involved in a marijuana scandal and Daesung got into an accident which resulted in a fatality (tho it turned was revealed later the person was lying on the street from an earlier accident when Deasung's car crashed into them and charges were dropped) which made Dae go into depression and social anxiety as he got death threats and a lot of hate from public and netizens. It was a really bad time for the members and the vips. But they pulled through and announced their comeback which caused more uproar from netizens asking BigBang to be disbanded and leave the entertainment to petitions to have them go to jail etc. That was when they released Fantastic Baby and you can see in the mv there are people trying to stop music and no music sign posts. This MV become such a turning point in BigBang's career as it broke multiple records, took their status as the King of Kpop and YG became part of the Big Three. To put it simply, Fantastic baby was the Gangnam Style to the kpop industry and BIGBAGs career. (I'm sick in bed so sorry for any typos, error or anything)
