YG Entertainment before BIGBANG is just a small company. But BIGBANG were struggling for food to eat because they don't have enough money and GDragon composes a song every night. But all the hardships are worth it. 10. Most fans don't idolized them because of looks, just pure talent. They were even called the "ugliest KPOP boy group" back in the days they were debuted. But people don't care for it, because the talent wins. 11. They're the first to use lightstick. Well before it was called "glowstick". Before it was just balloons and color to identify kpop groups. 12. They popularized EPs or Mini Albums. It started when they drop their album "Always" and with the hit song "Lies". That's why they're unbeatable. We can say, they're so many KPOP groups who are popular these days, but BIGBANG are untouchable. No one can imitate or copy beside themselves. Big Bang pioneered true rap idols too, yes there was some before but no one wrote their own raps before GD & TOP everything was done for them. After Big Bang idols who had no true rapper had to include at least one in their group but after Big Bang it was at LEAST 2.

Each of them has solo albums, that's what I like about them. They are the pioneer of that idea. The first kpop group that the members has a solo album without disbanding the group

It's coz BIGBANG is on hiatus right now. No one is really leading them out of that conservative type. No one is brave and bold enough to go against the stereotype. But once BIGBANG comes back, others will follow.

kind of true and not true at the same time. It all depends on the audience aswell. As of Bigbang they always never cared what people think including their fans. There are some groups like that and solo artists like hyuna,jessi aswell who still do the same till this day. in Bigbang's case after repeated silly scandals they stopped giving into the pressure by audience and started doing what they like.

Back then kpop industry is not popular as they are today, company will not criticize for debuting young idols unlike today. There's plenty of content since people didn't give a sht those days.

@@namehere6102 Yes I know. That’s why I have a big respect towards groups like Bigbang and 2NE1. Both groups won’t let their agencies dictate them. It’s up to them as artists what they want to present to the public.

@@namehere6102 yas but this era is different, we know yg restriction but literally I saw many compilation of them having a good time with 2ne1 and other female idols. Sometimes it also the relationship between the company/ceo and idols. They literally dissed and curse with each other. The restrictions things is also mostly applied during pre-debut and rookie idols not as much when you finally established your name as an artists (funny how yg banned smoking, drinking and partying when yg boys litetally seen in hongdae and gangnam) it depends on you if you wanted to interact in front of cameras. Some idols chose not to because of criticisms and issues.
