I love them so much, they actually also came from a survival show called Idol School, but they're a permanent group (even tho we've been waiting for their comeback for so long). These girls not only have great bops, but they are hilarious! They certainly know how to have fun lolol You should definitely check out the Idol Room episode with Fromis_9 and Loona!

Alsox2 I'm new here BUT we stan a queen that can appreciate the full spectrum of what girl groups have to offer, from Fromis_9, through Mamamoo and all the way to Dreamcatcher (coincidentally, my 3 favorite groups in kpop right now).

You're so great at reacting to groups I'm into lol. I've been into fromis_9 since Love Bomb and now I have so many of their songs on my playlist. I also love the more casual content on their channel--I find them so hilarious, and they communicate really naturally on camera. My bias is Jiwon, but I also favor Chaeyoung and Jisun (though I'm in love with them all lmao)! I don't think fromis_9 is officially on hiatus, so a lot of fans are angry that they haven't come back in so long. As far as I know, there are theories that the company is focusing more on I*ZONE (they're from the same company or something, not sure of the specifics) and that the fairly recent scandal of survival show rigging has made the company want fromis_9 to lie low, but they've been gone for such a long time that I hope they come back soon. But they're still releasing tons of non-musical content on their channel, so I haven't entirely lost hope!

I love their B-sides as well.. their songs just bring me so much joy. The girls have specific sound. And their voices really reflect emotion strongly - you can hear that even tho their songs have upbeat melody there is some kind of melancholic feeling in their voices. I love it. They're from off the record ent. (otr) they only manage two groups which is FROMIS_9 and IZ*ONE, both groups came from a survival show fromis from idol school while izone on pd48 it has the same producer who got punished from manipulating votes that's why both groups had a hiatus before. the difference is fromis is a permanent group while izone has a limited time, they aren't really just manage by otr, fromis9 is otr+pledis while izone is otr+swing i must say they're practically a family because gyuri was on pd48 so she's friends with izone members and yuri was on idol school so she's friends with all fromis members, chaeyeon (iz) and jiwon (fr) are also friends since they both participated in sixteen (twice, survival show) and is also friends with chaeyoung (fr) bc they trained together and an ex-jyp trainee. chaewon (iz) and chaeyoung (fr) are schoolmates from hanlim and there's one time that they were seen going to school together also yujin (iz) and jiheon (fr) are classmates in sopa, same age and same agency they have a pics together like all of them during promotions and even gone outside for a dinner together, they were also on a show (from otr) where they're helping out a dog shelter all of them together is really a room full of visuals and talents, so yeah they have a connection to each other that's why their friendship are so precious and my FROMIZ*ONE heart is so happy i hope to see all of them together again🥺 also i'm loving that izone yujin and minjoo oneric diary album at the shelves💜

DKDK was written by NU’EST’s Baekho and Pledis’s in house producer Bumzu, who works with both NU’EST and Seventeen. The title refers to the Korean phrase for a heartbeat, dukeun dukeun (basically pitapat).

Flovers aren’t in a complete drought though so don’t be too worried about them disbanding or anything quite yet! It's so sad that this group are just youtubers for the past year, we need the comeback! Love Bomb really is an all time great song. Also Gyuri was on a web drama with Chuu that was actually very good!

I learned about fromis_9 because of Gyuri from Produce 48 and they have the same company as IZ*ONE. I remember being so entertained by them. They are so funny, I just never really got in to them more cause I already have so many groups that I stan and IZ*ONE content keeps me up on my toes already 😭 I forgot their names already and just remember Gyuri and Jiwon the chaotic one so I might listen to their songs again and get in to a guide to get to know more about them. But if you're going to be doing one for them I might just relearn it with you lol I really like DKDK and Love Bomb. Hopefully they will be having a comeback soon.

To be back here again after you have been wrecked by them and chaeyoung so hard right now is so interesting. Sometimes a group gets you interested at the begin but you don't stan them but later you find out about them again and you're suddenly so in love with them as if it's been so natural.

ahhh fromis are my 3rd ult group along with loona and nct/wayv, i can’t wait to check this out!!! edit: so glass shoes was a predebut track released in late 2017, they performed this at mama before their actual debut with to heart in february 2018. that same year, they released dkdk. you may have noticed there was one member absent since gyuri at the time was participating on produce48 and didn’t take part in the comeback. she rejoined the group afterwards for their late 2018 comeback love bomb. love bomb was a smash hit. the song attracted so so many new fans, international and korean alike, and outsold all their previous releases. however, off the record sucks fucking Ass (i’m sorry it had to be said) and waited a full 8 months before the next comeback, fun. that song, once again, outperformed all of fromis previous releases but to this day otr has not gotten their head out of their ass to give fromis a comeback. sorry for swearing but the rage that fills me everytime i think of fromis saying they want to comeback soon, just to go another month without any news is honestly...... not pg rated. anyway, fromis actually is a pretty well selling group, they’re amongst the highest selling groups in their debut year and definitely have the talents to hit it big if otr would finally learn their lesson but Whatever. they were actually on par with gfriend, loona and izone who all debuted 2018 and always competed with those three. in 2019 they sold 50+k, around the same as wjsn, itzy and gfriend. internationally however i’d say they’re pretty much like... a hidden gem? they attracted a lot more fans with the last two comebacks, but they’re not exactly mainstream or anywhere close to it yet. most of their fame comes from hardworking and extremely dedicated fans and not from public attention.

aaaa I love and miss fromis 9 (they haven't had a comeback in awhile :( ) a fun fact about this group is that they are under the company Off the Record (as is Izone) which is co owned by stone music and pledis I believe. Due to this, some pledis artists wrote some fromis 9 songs! Glass Shoes ( the first song you reacted to) was co-written by Kyulkung and Yuha of the now disbanded Pristin (although yuha is now in hinapia who you should check out!) and DKDK (the third song you reacted to) was co-written by Baekho of Nuest (who you should also check out omg they are my favourite boy group lol) im not sure if woozi wrote anything for them but I wouldn't be surprised if he did lol

I actually like Fromis 9 earlier concepts but why did they have to change it😣...

The program that they originated from had some accusations about tampering with the voting, the group being predetermined and stuff, also lots of rumors about terrible living conditions during the show. They are managed by Off The Record (the same people that used to manage IZ*ONE up until before SSotS). My guess is IZ*ONE got the brunt of their focus and with all of the allegations they can't really have a comeback for some time. The members seem pretty active on their SNSs though so noone can really know what their plan is atm.

fromis_9 released two songs, but were not getting noticed. Then gyuri decided to go on produce48 because she wasnt confident enough and wanted to improve. And of course to get more popular. Well it worked she became the most popular member when she came back. They then released love bomb and they finally got noticed and became more popular. Then fun came out and fromis_9 started to build momentum. Then they got on hiatus and havent come back yet. Theres different theories why. But its obvious. They are from the same label as iz*one and the company started to focus it all on them. Its sad because they are seriously underrated. They are one of my favorite groups.
