Kind of seconding what someone else said: If you're going to do Misty Mountains Cold, please make it a 'double reaction' to both VoicePlay's 'short' version and Geoff's full video version. (Geoff's solo work is NOT accapella, he says that since it's all accapella with VoicePlay, he wants to do things differently on his solo work).

Now I'm looking forward to a small guest appearance for Eshplume in a VoicePlay song.Their adaptation of Drunken Sailor would fit the Esh pirate fun. The VoicePlay touch is so evidenced in this. Their intricate arrangements and ability to change vocal tone to honor the original; plus create fully immersive vignettes is tops. And each member has such range.

This remains on my top favorites. Jose was not supposed to be the featured artist, but Covid travel restrictions prevented the original from getting there. Jose is a friend in the Orlando area and agreed to step in. Problem was, his voice did not work with the part designated. Eli (Ellie) had already recorded the part that Jose did, so had to record the rocking beast part. He had everyone dumbfounded. Not that we hadn't heard him rasp before, but this was over the top.

I agree with everyone here that Valhalla Calling will become your favourite 😂. Love your Jack Sparrow impersonation!!! Voiceplay only did a mini of "Over the misty mountains cold" (which is awesome), but Geoff (on his channel) did a full version - where he harmonizes with himself - he dressed up as 4 of the dwarves - definitely worth checking out! It does not have millions of views for no reason 😉. PS Will love to hear your thoughts on Layne's beatboxing in Valhalla calling (but some of his best are in other songs) - he specializes in electronic sounds apparently. I know you love fantasy and sci-fi (who doesn't!?), but their gaming songs and rock covers are honestly worth checking out.🌹🕊

Since you decided to do this one, I recommend you do their humorous sequel to this, Drunken Sailor. Make sure to watch until patron list scrolls on. There is a bonus scene.

You can definitely sound like Capt Jack Sparrow! I would bet you'd enjoy the following of VoicePlay: Valhalla Calling (Miracle of Sound), Drunken Sailor, Dragonborn Comes Skyrim, Halo, In the Air Tonight (Phil Collins), Warriors (Imagine Dragons), some Geoff: Misty Mountains Cold, followed by I See Fire, Unshaken, Jack's Lament and the first music I heard on KZfaq was Geoff doing Monster Mash. I now get my daily dose of Geoff and VoicePlay and it is wonderful. I love having reactors because you people who share that first time of any of their music, is like going to the Grand Canyon with a friend who's never seen it before.

BTW, Geoff Castellucci's name is pronounced "Jeff." it uses the British English spelling, rather than the US version, but pronunciation is the same.

They did a follow up to this with "Drunken Sailor" that is hilarious and has some honestly badass beatboxing in it. I think you'd be able to appreciate it more than most. Also, "Valhalla Calling" if you haven't seen it yet. It's the sequel to "My Mother Told Me" and it's phenomenal. ❤

I have subscribed to see more VoicePlay & Geoff Castellucci reactions.

I listened to this song over 43,500 times just last year, January-November, so sayeth Spotify. You see, I sleep to it. Every night. So that number will go up. It was my number one song by Voiceplay until "Valhalla Calling" came out, which has too much of a beat to sleep to. But I do listen to that song every other night, on repeat, for several hours. In HTC, my favorite line is Cesar singing "Now some men have died, and some are alive, and others sail on the sea" which is obviously a reference to the undead on the Black Pearl. No one specified when this song became popular among pirates, I think it's safe to assume it's been a while, like with most sea shanties. Or possibly Davy Jones's crew, who are midway between life and death, and creatures of the deep. 💙

This was my favorite, until Mountain King. If you liked My Mother Told Me, you're probably going to want to see Valhalla Calling.

Pirates is one of my favorite pure entertainment films. I have watched multiple times. Memorizing that many lines of the script, how many times did you watch it?? 🤣
