Shane O Neill He’s not the same live with System of a Down songs but listen to his solo work. He has really incredible vocals solo in the studio and even translates it live. I’d even argue that he sounds better live than studio solo songs. As for System of a Down, I always felt that singing deep was unnatural for him. He had a deeper voice during songs on the first 3 albums then finally he switched it up for the last 2 albums where he sang higher and more nasally. I believe this was more of his natural voice because he could actually sing like that live very well.

The kid is apart of a circus he is pretty much the 'freak' anyways he looks up at the aerials (acrobatic peeps) and imagines what it would be like to be on their level, fame no shame, the part where it goes "aerials in the sky, when you lose small mind, you free your life....aerials so up high when you free your eyes, eternal prize" overall the kid snaps back to reality and realises that he just needs to be himself to be happy you can't always change who you are, or be someone your not

This song is about how people can lose their identities and become just like everyone else. Some lyric analysis: "Life is a waterfall,we're one in the river, one again after the fall." - We all start off the same and we all end up the same. "Swimming through the void, we hear the words,we lose ourselves, but we find it all." - As we go through life we are told lessons, but we ignore them. We forget who we really are in the mix of seeking the synthetic lifestyle, and that's the price to lose who we really are. "'Cause we are the ones that wanna play, always want to go, but you never want to stay." - We always want to be part of the scene. We strive for what we want and when we get it, it still does not satisfy. "And we are the ones that want to choose, always wanna play, but you never wanna lose." - We want and want. We do whatever we can but if trouble is ever near we do whatever we can to maintain innocence. "When you lose small mind you free your life." - When we stop to see the full picture is when we really have control of our lives. "Life is a waterfall, we drink from the river then we turn around and put up our walls." - We take and take and in the end we give nothing. This shows how greedy, oblivious and inconsiderate people can be....YOUR WELCOME

To me the video has been about how we turn child stars into these “creatures” bigger than life and throw them into stuff they’re far too young too understand completely and in turn it almost makes them seem not human which was why the child’s face was that way cause he’s in a way not even human anymore. But that’s just how I’ve always seen it

"When you lose small mind, you free your life." Keep that. Peace & love
@M1nG1n973 жыл бұрын
This video is actually very profound. For those that don't understand the music video, it's the story of the circus freak that looks up to the aerials performers. He closes his eyes and imagines a world where he is wealthy and powerful, however, his limited knowledge of real life frustrates him even in his imagination, like when he is questioned by the other kid. This goes in hand to the lines "When you loose small mind you free your life / when you fee your life eternal prize" What that basically means is that our limited perception, like that kid's, holds us captive. If we are able to confront our perceptions of life we'll get the eternal prize, which is happiness. i just copy-pasted the comment of Alfredo that u can find on the comment section of the song

The weird kid symbolizes all the races and cultures of the world. He wants to be popular and get into Hollywood, but when he is famous and wealthy, he realizes that he's not happy, because there is no joy in it anymore. This song actually brought me to tears after listening it with my mum, after showing her the band she was sad cause we are Christian but she allowed me to show her Aerials but because of the noise she couldnt figure out the meaning, "Aerials in the sky" the kid is just a poor kid dreaming of being rich and living the life like it's showed, he though of everything, girls, cars, money, etc. "When you free your eyes eternal prize" it means break your wall of imagination and that way youll achieve your eternal prize which is hapinnes, saying the last part made me cry after realizing that, because of all the troubles we went i locked myself in my imagination, dreaming of peace and prosperity for my city until i realized that if i fight the truth i'll make a better place for everyone. I hope you understood the meaning and also keep le good videos, you do an amazing job at reactions!
