This was the first system of a down song I had ever heard, I think I was 10? I’m 26 now and I listen to them on a VERY regular basis, they’re my favourite band. I was watering the garden a couple months ago with my newborn strapped to me in his baby carried and had this song on full blast and it just hit so hard. It’s like for some reason that it just hit me extra hard. I couldn’t get over the switches and how hard it went. I love this band forever and ever.
@ouiouibaguette77014 жыл бұрын
i reckon system of a down was the first music group i ever remember hearing. My dad used to play it in the car when me and my sister were very young (i would have been four or five), not just because he liked the song but because he knew it would stir mum up, he would get us to dance along with the music, bopping our heads, so mum can see her two innocent children going nuts over metal. Special place in my heart this song has, known the words for as long as i can remember.

Yes, your father knew what he was doing! Not only is it great music, their message needs to be heard by everyone. Also, their tunes are often goofy and bouncy and great for kids to get energy out to! He later recorded a video of himself doing a Fry scream and he nailed it!! He was 4!!! LOL

@ouiouibaguette77013 жыл бұрын
Todd Reynolds honestly their message really does need to be heard, it was great for me as a young kid as it really opens up the ability to explore different types of music that aren’t always conventional, i think it has contributed massively to my taste in music now which i’d day is a lot more diverse then it would have been had i grown up with just the radio music.

I've always felt like I liked bits and pieces of System of a Down. Watching your reaction videos made me think that they, as artists, purposefully create something different and jarringly spaztastic in order to bring contrast to the smoother parts of the song. So kudos to you for letting me hear their stuff in a new light/appreciation.

@@ShaneDizzin they might be one of the BEST across all instruments on the level of tool.... what i mean is, most bands have a key piece that stands out, usually the guitarist or the singer, jinjer's quartet are all elite at their instrument.... the bassist might be top 10 in the world
@ShaneDizzin4 жыл бұрын
@@notimportant3686 I mean, talent isn't what I'm arguing here, they're extremely talented but I don't like how they write and set up their music. It's just not good to me, much like most of tools music-- they're incredible at what they do but I don't like most of it. Too all over the place and not enough consistency, much like Jinjer, they're just all over the place. I don't like it.

I listen to all genres but these guys just transcend genre - so much fun to listen to. Blast them in the car and sing that shit - especially the lalalalalala ooooooo 😂 (they are also amazing live. Absolute chaos)

Also you should pull up lyrics to the songs cause I think you missing some insane bars in some of the rock reactions. Most of these songs are pretty deep. Keep drinking that water g! 👌
