Feel free to correct me.

Oh man this is one of my favorite albums of all time. Very sad and disturbing but weirdly beautiful to me. Xiu Xiu is amazing.

theyre one of my favorite bands ever, jamie stewart is such an amazing writer and vocalist. deerhoof make similar type of pop music, less disturbing but just as surreal.. id def recommend them as well

oh. my favourite album of all time. It is devastating and difficult but. It is deeply relatable and touching

incredibly depressing but also strangely comforting album for me. Seeing them live was one of the most powerful thing's i've felt.

Definitely check out Knife Play(their first album) its similar to this. Lots of other good songs on it as well.

I was waiting for this day to come but I didn't know it was gonna come today. You mention something about Jamie Stewart singing in like a "child" perspective. If you're interested please listen to Empathica by coin locker kid. It's about two kids playing make believe to avoid reality, of course there's more themes throughout out the whole album but that comes across very clearly

I remember getting this album when it came out and not knowing what the hell was going on. I instantly fell in love with it. And "Apistat Commander" is my fave Xiu Xiu song. I honestly am shocked when I hear someone likes this album.
