Get hard case panniers (perhaps H&B ones) as your next modification. I noticed the video where a guy installed the H&B ones was very popular, so apparently there are a lot of BMW S1000RR owners who are very interested in sport-touring. I mean, the bike has heated grips and cruise control. There's a reason it's called a "dad bike".

I heard the Akro Shorty on a new red bmw s1000rr last week and i prefer the sound of your bike. The shorty is louder but not stupid loud. The bike just doesn't sound the same or anything like that smooth stock sound with the shorty on it. I prefer to ride at 11am in the morning during the week, when everyone is at work or mostly off the roads.

I just put on the full Akra with the shorty and it is definitely loud lol. Love it tho!

Rizoma cut edge bar end mirrors are a great choice from build quality and universal fit

Dope videos! Fellow S1K rider here. Have ti headers and a shorty on my S1K currently and I’m actually going to be putting on this exact can on ! While the shorty is loud and appealing, if you do any interstate riding the shorty is obnoxiously loud on the ears. I wear ear plugs aswell but this exact can seems to be the perfect noise level and depth. The bike also seems to “feel” slot smoother with the stock akro can compared to the shorty. Hope that helps.

That long can does give you a little extra horsepower though. Nobody runs shorty pipes or levers in WSBK.

I think it sounds great!! I wouldn't change a thing! It might be louder after the ECU unlock. Especially since you'll be able to get the RPMs higher.

I have the Rizoma mirrors and front turn signals on my 2022 S1000RR. You definitely see less than with the factory mirrors. But I've been perfectly fine with them. Also, my engine recently blew out and I had only 15k miles. I have a full titanium Arrow shorty evo exhaust. BMW is honoring the warranty so my bike is in the shop and will be for about a month. But the one thing the dealer said was I was lucky I didn't flash the ECU because BMW can tell and if I did they wouldn't have covered the engine replacement. Keep that in mind if you are gonna flash it.

It will get louder with more miles and when you unlock it. I went with the arrow header and akro can on my 2024 I have the same exact bike with the forged wheels. I would go with next level flash and tune. But already got the BT moto which is awesome. With your headers the flat spot low in the rev range goes away. Don’t the mirrors I just look behind me. You don’t really need a tune either with the 4 o2 sensors. I made about 6 HP more with the header and no tune. The bike will adjust in getting next level tune and flash for mine

I have the rizoma’s and although they look good the visibility is poor. The clutch side mirror is ok at best but the brake side mirror is useless. Can you share what roads u took?

If you want a LOUD can, get the SC-Project CRT, that's what I got with the same Akra system and I've gotten 2 noise complaints already within a month of installing the system on my '24 S1K M

Why is your redline still 8k?? Mine I noticed the shift light was super low as well....these are all settings we are able to set on our own, its not part of the tune. ohh and FIRST REPLY!! LOLZ....(I see people say this all the time on the huge channels.. 😛. ) AHHH. you hadnt gotten your service yet....gotcha!! I assumed you got it done since you swapped the header...I woudlnt want them seeing my bike with the aftermarket header before my first service... :D. I helped a guy install the Arrow header with the stock can on a M1000R over the weekend...it was way better but to me it was still too quiet...I would want it a bit louder, not OBNOXIOUS loud, but louder than what you have right now. Shorty may be too loud but I would want to hear it in person....I am thinking I am doing entire Arrow on mine.

look into a simple mod from Brock's performance for blocking off the PAIR valve to stop the decel pops. His part number is 832323, but you can get the idea of using something similar and not pay shipping lol.

I also have the black s1000rr 2024 but with the same options as yours. thanks for this video because I want to install the akrapovic manifolds but I thought I had to tune the ecu. Even in Italy I can buy BT tuning (I would have purchased it next month directly in San Diego where I will go on holiday) but European motorbikes have different specifications and in any case I would lose the warranty which in our country is 4 years. Can you confirm that the emulator for the exhaust valve is also not needed? Enjoy

What tank pads did you get? Love the TST lights, did the same thing myself.

It’s not that loud because is the stock akra muffler if you were to put a shorty on there it would scream lol

Can you unlock the rpm by ecu flash like BT moto? Does it void the warranty?

Is your dealer tune friendly or do you not mind voiding the warranty once you throw the tune on it? My headers show up on Friday and I am not sure if I want to give up the 3 year warranty as they will void me. Also being told I shouldn’t run the headers without the tune; not really sure what to do now ahahah.

I was told by my BMW dealer that they must order the headers and install or the warranty is voided. Also, any ECU flash will void the warranty.... One does not want to own this bike without a warranty.....

@ 12:40 , I like 👌the stock can. It looks/sounds good, imo. I would NOT throw that thing on the floor, in the garage. HELL NO. I would rock that can until it's DONE. THEN, I would get the "latest & greatest" on the market at THAT time. WHY?: b/c they're constantly researching, developing & introducing new, baddass slippers.
