That Penn 50 is a nice reel. Got a couple of 10' duskies on that with 50 test mono in 2023. Admit it took a while...one going 1Hr 55Min but got him. Like your videos. Best of luck here in 2024.

Now that hunting season is over I'm getting ready to get back into shark fishing again. I've always had amazing luck with big sharks out of crooked Island. Tight lines brother.

Get your rec pass for tyndall. You can do it online. Cost is 11 dollars. Opens up a lot of area to fish for shark and inshore. I rarely go anywhere else. I hear cape san blas is red hot for surf reds and sharks at the moment

@@claysmith894 I don’t advertise it on my page, but I’m AD so I fish around Tyndall a ton. Very familiar with their waters, just new to their beaches and shark fishing in general.

Nice one! What size braid/mono on the Penn? Best knots for connections?

My setups are pretty small right now, but I’m investing in a new/bigger one. My current setups have 65 & 85lb test on my smaller/bigger reels. Both run @wildmilestackle rigs with 400lb mono.

doesnt seem like its that big but from someone who has been shark fishing for almot 30 years using a harness and butt cup would take alot fo the strain off you.
