"i'm no racer but I am about to have fun." that is it, hat is point. we do do this fun, it's our day job. when i teach snowboarding i tell the people i work with all the time. the sport is about you. trails built for you to enjoy. love it

What? 36 lbs? My yeti sb160 is 31 lbs! 😂. Consider changing the wheelset, BB, head set, bars (cutting them shorter), stem, saddle, opt for top level drive train, tires, pedals, etc.

I put on a set of EXC 1200 which dropped about 1lb. Chasing grams is expensive 😅 . I don't think I could get away with lighter tires as they may not survive. Either way it's still a great bike

I’m on the fence on getting this or a Hightower , mega tower or SJ evo. I have a yeti sb5c now since 2015. They’re hard chargers and come alive the more you push them. I kind of feel like I want a plusher ride now tho. Just trying to find the balance that’s still good for climbing. 🤔 lots of choices out there

Yes, no bad options, really. The Sb160 really wants to go. I wouldn't say it is a harsh bike. There's trail feedback, but it almost feels like it helps go faster if that makes sense. Nukeproof Mega 290c is probably the most plowy bike I've ridden that climbs pretty well. I've been riding this bike more and current comparison with the Orbea rallon with coil shock.....the SB160 feels faster and more confident. I have not ridden Santa Cruz shockingly but hear they have excellent bikes.

Firme vato, Been wanting to try this bike seems like it would make trails feel slow… other bike I’m considering since I live in Tucson az. And like higher bb and dw is the pivot firebird

On mellower trails, this bike will feel board, but it's made for going fast. So far, I've done a few more xc style rides on it, and it wasn't terrible. Open it up, and it will shred. Orbea rallon could be another bike to look at if wanting some more rounded. Also, Spectral and Sentinel.
