Breaking in my new Yeti SB160 | 160 vs 150 comparison | Downhill mountain biking

Recently, I cracked the seat stay on my Yeti SB150. Yeti was awesome and did a crash replace for me and upgraded me to the SB160. In this video, I break in my SB160 and compare it to my SB150. I do some downhill runs and take the 160 on some jumps at Snow Summit Bike Park. I already dig this bike and I'm having so much fun on it.
-Filmed with a GoPro Hero 11 black in 4k super view, edited in Final Cut Pro.

Nice..Cracked my frame on my Yeti 150 in December of 22 and did not get an upgrade for crash replacement; replaced with SB150. Outstanding for you👊🏼

Nice! Was in the exact same position. Had a hit on the bottom bracket and was replaced from an SB150 to an SB160 with the crash replacement. They no longer make the SB150 triangles so solid upgrade if you ask me. Ended up getting th Cobalt and the rear suspension. Did you have a Turq or a C series?

Are they (Yeti) no longer doing specific front/rear triangle only replacements on the 150s, or did they give you a prorate for the whole thing?

I’m not sure what they’re plan is with replacing front/rear triangles for the 150? They upgraded me for $600 & that was with a new Fox X2, so I was pretty shocked & excited & now stoked as it’s a beauty ‼️‼️

Is the sb160 a huge improvement over sb150 with CC? I got sb150, wasn’t planned to get it but it was a hard deal to say no to. I immediately put CC link and Storia V3 on it. I like it a lot! Everyone one is talking about pedal strikes. I don’t have strikes when pedalling as we stay on the fire road. I do have strikes on downhill because we have off-camber terrain. I also had strikes on my sentinel V2 so not really yeti specific problem. I don’t think lower bb is an issue on sb150 with cc. I really like how this thing corners. I wonder if there is anything that you miss from sb150?

Pedal strikes weren’t to big of an issue for me either so I don’t know why seems like a deal breaker to other people 🤷🤷…I haven’t the 160 long enough yet to see if I miss the cornering ability of the 150 with cascade link, I do however feel the 150 was a little softer off the top, but the 160 makes up for that with how the bike tracks & holds it line, I was not gonna get the 160 cuz I was completely happy with my 150 so I’d say run it till it breaks ‼️‼️

No, I wish ‼️ I forgot to mention that it was $600 for the new frame & a brand new Fox X2 which I was glad to pay as the shock by itself is $600, I was very happy with Yeti offering me that deal 👌🏻👌🏻
