** So as you already know, Brian wins or ties the stuck winner most years. But this year he's off to a "sticky" start. 😆
He hasn't been stuck in 4yrs and of course he gets stuck in our dryest spring in like 30+ years 😆
To his defence though, these few wet spots are some small lakes/big sloughs that are nearly dry and some that I have never seen dry.
But some of us shut down seeding just to take in the event - even though it was weak stuck at best 🤷‍♂️😆
** For more fun, weekly polls, pictures, flash backs, Ashtyn & Chapel, and more interactive content check our Patreon Account! 🙂
www.patreon.com/bePatron?u=25...
** Also check out our website to learn a little more about our family farm.
The new merchandise thing has really been cramping our style due to time... But it's all in and I do believe it's all up on the website now, be sure to check it out!
We have some other things planned for ya but are running out of hours in a day. Stay tuned and thank you for your patience. 🙂
Ps: Mike models when Ashtyn brings out food and Chapel for tractor rides 🤷‍♂️😂🤦🏻‍♂️

@@davidlogel2350 is it because of late snow/frost melting? Or something else. And is it a good thing that it's so damp, because it means run off will help fill the water sources for later in the summer? Obviously not if your getting stuck all time.

@@davidlogel2350 so, next question from this train driver in the UK... When is it too late to plant? Or could you store this grain and use another later cropping grain seed.. which can be cut later
@davidlogel2350

@@SBEARD12345 in our area we like to be done around the third week of May, this year we will still be seeding into June. You can plant crops that have a shorter time to maturity if seeding runs late but this may not always be feasible if you’ve pre bought inputs for this crop year. Still getting the crop in early June is a gamble, producers just need the weather in the fall to help them out with good heat unit days and frost to stay away.

Yes, because they are not as good at digging down through the mushy stuff to something a bit firmer, as the tracks quickly get slick from the mud stuck to it. The low ground pressure of tracks make it so they can't squeeze the mud out from between the lugs like it happens on wheeled units.

@j.e.honiball1327 2 жыл бұрын
I'm guessing you mean switch off? Stopping engines while hot is not very kind to the oil, especially if they've been operating under load, which the tractors are most of the time. When shut of the oil stops flowing and this will heat up to the temperature of the area around it. This is especially bad for the oil that stops in the turbo as it would get very hot. There are other factors as well, but this is the main reason I can think of (besides it just being annoying to wait for everything to boot back up when restarting) Oh, an at night those lights would drain the batteries pretty fast when the tractor is not running.
