Nice video Mike, so glad to see your new Dash setup on the Behnke trailer. The trailer itself is made in my hometown of Farley Iowa, and I work there building them, so I am excited to see how it works for you.

Modern farming makes me sick. The amount of chemicals you guys spray into the environment. Mankind should've never advanced technologically beyond blacksmithing.

At the loadout, where the hose attaches to the sprayer, mark one fungicide and the other herbicide, all doubt has been removed.......well, in theory.

Do the chemical companies allow you now to open their totes to add water to rinse the totes. They used to be sealed with a wire that had to be cut to open the lid.

Did anyone know how many acre Mike has to work? Im in middle Germany an Fields from 1 to 8 acre an realy big one with 14 are Standard. In east germany its all bigger but thats what here is. After years of watching Mike im still amazed about the space

I believe Mike and his family work around 42,000 acres
@crandonborthКүн бұрын
Fields are laid out in full sections (1 Mile wide by 1 mile long) or 640 Acres. The avg field is usually 2 or 3 full sections. Field can be broke up into smaller quarters or 160 acres pieces but it becomes inefficient to farm land that way with 84’ airseeders if it’s not necessary.

It's probably called a 2.4 because you can load 2 sprayers from 2 sets of twin tanks which if you add that up equals 4 tanks ????? No I'm not trying to take the piss or be funny with you mike .
@danielaltman9945Күн бұрын
Mike got an idea for the booms. Get some magnets made that say herbicide, fungicide, and insecticide or whatever else is needed. Label each boom on what product it has with the magnets. That way if a sprayer pulls up to the side of the trailer for the first time, it would be easy to tell which product is on what side. Also an easy way to tell which product is loaded on the front and back tank. Just my .02 cents.
@MeadowFarmer17 сағат бұрын
That's a great idea. I don't work on a farm, but where I work we have tags we have to put on the lines depending on which product is in it.
@jow5545Күн бұрын
Since you said a fire hose does it come with a nozzle? Add one if it doesn’t. One heck of a trailer.
@sheldonwollman3840Күн бұрын
Look into MixMate if u ever want to try something different. That's what we run and it will automatically inject chemicals and than rinse out it's line in-between products. You just pull up to the trailer, hook up ur hose, press start and off she goes while u can go" check tires ". And if u have to add jugs it has a slick deal for that and ur jugs won't go "glug glug" cause it injects air into the jugs to empty them faster.

Can you remove the spraying equipment from the trailer and use it as a flatbed for bales in the winter season
@crandonborthКүн бұрын
Theoretically you could… but why would Mike wanna do that?? It would be far easier to just buy a second trailer if you wanted to haul hay… but I don’t see Mike ever getting into hay or animals EVER!! 😂

That would be a lot of work & time. Not worth it, best to get another trailer.
