The best parts of Authentic foods from India or Mexico and really just any country that use heavy spices in their cuisine is that its comfortable heat. The chilies help add more complexity to dishes and you balance it with other herbs to give a rich earthy nutty feel.

I grew up in a very multicultural city, Vancouver, BC, Canada. It didn’t matter what colour your skin was, everyone grew up eating amazing Indian, Chinese, Thai cuisines, all the amazing Asian cuisines! It makes me sad, Sharon, that you are only discovering this food now! I’m proud of your willingness to try it all, even if it’s something that you think you might not like. You always end up liking it 🤣

It should be BASMATI i believe. (The rice variant) Samosas, we just grab it in the hand, dip it in the sause (tamrind or green, depends on your choice) and take a big bite. And Gulab Jamun.... Next time, try a bit of hot Jamun with a scoop of Vanill ice cream

I LOVE all asian foods, I love the world of cuisine!! -side note..... i live in an area with zero good places to eat out, when I am struggling and need samosas and dont want to make a ton of them, I found a good brand in the freezer at my walmart branded by Sukhi and boi are those babies good. another get-by for me are the meal kits that are available(usually down the delicious (international) aisle), i like the great value ones, all ingredients are included ( and packed separately incase one wants to remove any spices) except the meat, still on the hunt for more authentic tasting kits however for what they are they are pretty great.

I absolutely have not a clue what he is saying when he was singing..... but I STILL could sit and listen to him sing for HOURS! his voice (just a little shake because he was nervous) is so beautiful! The music itself sounds BEAUTIFUL and so relaxing! ❤ I love it so much! 😍 I could tell he wanted to dance, I wish we could have seen it! I bet he is great at dancing, too!

What you had was basically Punjabi Cuisine from the state of Punjab. There are a whole bunch of cuisines from India that you can still try again.

Guamanian food is great. It is a mix of several different Asian countries all rolled into a big fiesta plate of goodness. Chamorro Grill in San Diego, Guahan Grill in Oceanside and SD, JJ’s Island Grindz in Bonita, Smack’n Guamanian Grill in SD are all good starting places.

I told my husband 3 days ago that I wanted to try Indian food cuz I watch different channels who show their recipes & he said he doesn't like Indian food 😭 I told him I've been with him going on 13 years & he's never HAD it while we've been together so how does he know he doesn't like ALL Indian food?! Maybe he tried a certain dish he didn't care for but they have thousands more out there he might like! Then he said "You don't like spicy anything" & I told him you can order things very mild _duhhhhh!_ The end of the discussion was he told me to order from an Indian restaurant for myself & he'll get his own dinner that night 🤣 Soooooo I WILL be taking him up on his offer very soon! I'm dying to try the butter chicken because I see it in every video 💞

A sincere suggestion.... always...ask for sliced Lemon and sliced onion before you even begin to eat any Indian dish - be it biryani, tandoori dishes, or curries - squeeze lemon juice on top of the dishes and on sliced onion...they totally elevate the taste and balance the spice..
