My family used to bale hay together every year until the late 90's when my great grandparents had to sell their farm. Now, I get to bring the family back to our tradition of baling hay together, and this time we have our kids join us! Great seeing all your family working together, I always say during my hay working days, there's no better sight than seeing an empty hay field when taking the last load out

Square balers are a chore but once you learn them, you will get a lot out of it. Takes a lot of work but it is satisfying. I had to do the same thing with my square baler, learning the process of how to make it all work!

My family made our first round of hay this year, south East Ohio as well. The consensus is that the grass grew thicker this year than it has since the late 70’s, your windrows might not be too far off for normal conditions, this is just an odd year.

I got it going for a little while, but wow I'm having a time getting it going again lol. I was the same way. It feels way better making hay instead of just mowing the fields
