First time buying a house and you're over 50. I have great news for you lenders do not and will not and are not allowed to discriminate in any way shape or form so you are in luck so age does not matter actually the loan i did a loan just last year for actually for two borrowers that were over 80. Yes we do a 30-year loan for them again there's no age discrimination at all it doesn't matter how many years the loan has been paid paying back now the clients that we do have that are over 50 you know they're a little bit more nervous they feel i can i can understand you feel more self-conscious you feel as if you should have bought a house by now well you know everybody has their own time for things. I just really personally age I don't want you to worry age should not matter

Thanks. Me and my husband and I bought our first home a year ago at 55. Some of the comments we get are like, "Wow 😂

My husband and I were interested on a $2450k home in near Ocala FL, emailed an lender telling them our age (54) and they never emailed us back

Oh gosh, I'm so sorry to hear that. Im sure it has nothing to do with your age. They are likely busier than they can handle and unorganized. Lenders CANNOT discriminate on age, race or sex.
