@@brandonsmith6675 makes sense. I keep mine on the other window in a v shape. I didn't think it really mattered but it caught my eye. Good luck, I'm trying to get back and finish up my instrument rating as well.

@Mat McKendree @Brandon Smith Is stratusx worth it? Heard good things about as opposed to Sentry or Stratus 3. Obviously price is dramatically lower but want to know if quality still holds up.

@@lilcracky111 I think it is but it's not a full replacement for the more expensive units. I already had a spare raspberry pi so building it wasn't too difficult. The AHRS is not reliable but get it anyway for the cooling fan controller. I had to use the USB external GPS because the internal would not keep reliable signal. Other than that the traffic and weather information works great and is awesome to have with for flight. I will eventually buy one of the other name brand units but it covers the majority of what I need right now.
