First Time ELECTRIC Loco Train & Loco Change at BAW | Indian Railways

First time ever Electric Loco hauled Train enters the first station on the Bangalore - Hubli Line - Chikkabanawara Railway Station, which is also the end point of Electrification presently. The Velankanni - Vasco Da Gama Weekly Express which use to have a loco change from Electric to Diesel at Yesvantpur all these days is now made to Bypass Yesvantpur via Baiyappanahalli - Banaswadi -Hebbal - Lottegollahalli - Yesvantpur Bypasss and reach Chikkabanawara. The train will have Loco Change at this station hence forth. The video covers the complete Loco change process and some train spotting . The entire process took almost an hour to complete.

Firstly the authorities should have planned placing the train on other side platform 1 or 2.. by doing so udz mys humsafar wouldn't have waiting at outer.. hope they rectify this

An hour wasted for loco change. It would be have been better to run it on diesel throughout the entire journey. And there would be another loco change as the last section towards Velankanni is again non-electrified. No wonder buses cover the same distance is shorter time. Indian Railways needs to pull its socks up.

What could easily just been 15 to 20 mins took approximately an hour for loco change.the journey from vasco to velankani is approximately 24hrs could have been an hour shorter..think abt it
