This wasn't a parody it was a homage. They loved MJ and MJ loved this too. Remember when this came out and they nailed the riff completely. Just shows how MJ impacted all music styles and audiences

This was before MJ's passing he gave the nod, that's why there's so many references from the video slicing to the sewers steam the light-up sidewalk from Billie Jean the & the end guy is supposed to be from thriller same with the lady jumping in the pool with the wolf mask the leaning stances the jumping on the car all these are MJ video references

She called the glove chair out and i'll give that props because very few people see past bubbles. The char was 100% tribute to his glove.

Easter eggs up the ying yang. The kid was dancing in front of the Jackson household where Michael grew up. The chair was a white glove complete with Bubbles the chimp. The creepy dude at the end with Elizabeth Taylor's tattoo on his back was bass player for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Plus many video references. Also the flume of smoke was indication of when Pepsi caught Michael on fire.

I see a lot of these reaction videos to this song, and it boggles my mind that no one either gets all the video references or just doesn't comment on them.

Yeah M.J. said that he really liked the cover….and of course he gave them permission!!! How else could he have made sure that he got paid to?😂

This video is just a love song to Michael Jackson. Every visual in this video has something to do with Jackson and his career, from the Thriller video homages, to the glove chair and Bubbles the Chimp, to the last frame of the guy with the Elizabeth Taylor tattoo on his back. The song didn't change much, just a little harder on the music, but the video is brilliant.

This video was huge in the 90's and AAF was a big name, especially with punk rock really making a name for itself at the time. M.J. loved the cover and approved it. The video has so many references to M.J.'s music career and videos that even the most devout fans usually miss at least one or two.

I remember when this first came out. LOVED IT THEN, LOVE IT NOW. The last part of the video is a "homage" to MJ's music video Thriller. Every reaction I've seen for this video think the last part is "creepy", but if you haven't seen Thriller you won't understand why they ended the video that way. 😉

Among the artists invited by the Jackson family to take part were Alien Ant Farm! Others performing included Beyoncé, Christine Aguilera, Ne-Yo, Jamie Fox, Gladys Knight, the Jackson Brothers and La Toya to name a few! 😊🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇬🇧🇺🇸
