The first voice teacher they brought in concentrated only on breath and protecting your voice. They advised her parents that Angelina had a natural and unique tone and vibrato, and nothing should be allowed to change that. So that's why we have so many covers. That is why Angelina can flex her colour tone texture and dynamics any which way she pleases. She taught herself by singing all the greats. Some I recognised immediately and those I missed were brought to my attention by the more observant Angelina fans (her Angels) and I thank them for letting me know what I had missed. (1) The realisation that at the age of 10 Angelina has shed all childishness from her voice. (2) A feeling that the placement of the spotlight at the beginning of her performance was deliberate. Sir, she was born to sing, inheriting the poetry of grandma Mery Zamany and started when she was 18 Months old, no joke. She discovered Jazz shortly after and started practicing at about 3,5 years old. Practicing almost every day for hours, many hours! At 9 years old she already was a pro.

That is her own band with guest string section. They were hired full-time after she won Norway's Got Talent at age 8. She had been working with them for almost two years at this performance. You should listen to her heart-wrenching version of "Unchained Melody," at the Nobel Peace Prize Presentation last December, where she performed with the KORK orchestra. Please research the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony last December before listening to fully appreciate the weight of that performance. They are one of the 10 best orchestras in the world, and that was televised live worldwide. Age has not meant much to us Angels, as Angelina calls us, her fans. She is incomparable, the finest female vocalist to ever live. I also would recommend you listen to "10 Years In The Making," on the Angelina Jordan Official channel. Angelina Jordan was certainly a rare child prodigy singer, but about five years before this performance by Angelina, there was another child prodigy singer in a different genre. Maybe you're not aware of Jackie Evancho. Here she is, having just turned 11, performing with David Foster and an orchestra for a PBS special, Dream with Me in Concert (this is a playlist starting with Nella Fantasia). If you don’t know her life story son do your research !!! When you learn about her story you will be amazed at her life story and her maturity at such a young age. She met another young girl when she was 6 and the other girl was slightly older and the girl didn’t have any shoes. Angelina took her shoes off her feet and gave them to the girl so she would have shoes. After meeting the young girl and learning about her life, Angelina told her family that anytime she performs it will be barefoot as long as there are children in the world who don’t have shoes. Angelina has been performing barefoot since she was 6 years old and still today at 18, she still performs barefoot. She said it’s art of her identity and she will continue to perform barefoot. She wrote a song recently about her meeting with that other young girl, the songs name is Princess Of Ruins. Angelina also wrote a book that was published when she was 9 about the girl. She is just so naturally talented. All of the songs she sings, be it a cover song or her original songs, she does the arrangement of the music. If you haven’t seen the video of her in studio at 9 years old recording the song I Put A Spell On You, you will see her making notes on the sheet music and the music director looking at it and smiling.
