One of the greatest songs of all time, no lie! When this came on the radio in the 70s you stop what you were doing and you saying and you listen to this, and Billy Paul’s vocals knocked it out of the park. And here we are in 2022 and it still Great as ever

The orchestration of this song is just *incredible*!! I didn't really know until in the last few years listening on headphones; the violins, piano, sax are soooooo subtle smooth and well done, you can just almost see all the musicians playing their hearts out!

The clue is in the title MRS Jones- she is married hence MRS (not Miss, Ms etc) and she is married to someone else and he is with someone else too- you have your own obligations and SO DO I....in other words they are having an affair, they know it is wrong but can't stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course she's married. The "Mrs." in the name Mrs. Jones implies that she IS married. 😀 And he says what they are doing is wrong which also implies that either she or both of them are in another relationship.

Mrs. Jones is just Letting you know that the Lady he's Involved with is Married. Her name isn't necessarily " Mrs. Jones "! But Dislike for this!! TOO Many Pauses!! Too much Laughing at Mr. Billy Paul's expense! Why Did you Disrespect the man by Laughing at him? Why? He was Amazing!
