I’ve been a fan of this legendary group since 1989 & have been fortunate enough to see them in concert 11 times across 3 countries. Each show was a true experience I’ll never forget 🤘😁

Fantastic song - a karaoke must along with Livin' on a Prayer. Frank Sinatra was Jon Bon Jovi's great uncle - imagine having a legend like that show up at family reunions with a casserole - that'd be weird, lol.

Wife here..Have Loved Bon Jovi since 1987...The Frank Sinatra reference is VERY COOL!!!. BJ...Also..,i like that Bon Jovi referenced " Tommy and Gina" from his earlier hit "Living on a Prayer" is Awesome..Message and song is sooo Groovy Jamming..Yessss Ms. Asia..

Bon Jovi is hands down my favorite band, and this song is my all-time favorite (and has been for as for as long as I can remember). The second that opening riff hits I can't help but smile. Also, a fun fact: On the "My Way" reference, apparently Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora argued over whether or not it should have been included. JBJ was quoted as saying "He [Sambora] said, "You can't write that damn lyric. Nobody cares about Frank Sinatra but you." And I wrote it anyway." Personally, I'm glad he added it because I think it fits really well with the overall theme of the song

Fun Fact: the reference to Frank Sinatra is a reference to Jon Bon Jovi's Great Uncle Frankie. The family called him Frankie, but the world knows him as Frank Sinatra. Jon wanted to make it on his own (to do it his way), so nobody found out that Frank Sinatra was his great uncle till the 90s. The titles of the two songs-- Frank's "I Did It My Way" and Jon's "It's My Life" essentially mean the same thing. If you check out young photos of Frank and Jon, you will definitely see a family resemblance.

Jon sounds good here .Voice has really left him ..Maybe a smoker or around a lot of second - hand smoke..That usually does it .

I think it's more the fact that he's strained his voice with those higher notes and didn't train his voice to be able to sustain them as he aged but you're right that it could be smoking. I know he used to and quit over 10 years ago but the damage was probably already done.

Started smoking at age 32 and stopped in 2010 after pricing life insurance. What most don’t realize is Ritchie’s contribution to vocals. Now with Ritchie gone, and Jon is older, the voice just doesn’t land the way it used to. He also had Covid last October and it sorta changed the voice. He couldn’t sing for a few weeks and may have left lingering damaged or changed vocals.
