Honestly, if you're only now discovering Chris Cornell? Then, you're in for a real treat. It's going to be sad in the short term, since you're going to learn pretty soon, that he's no longer with us. That can't help but bring you down for a minute, it's an effective reminder that neither wealth nor epic talent separates us when comes down to it. We all have our hurdles to get over and around as we fumble our way through life, and life's too short already. The bright side, is he left a really fat catalog of a really wide range of songs. So, you've got a lot of great music to listen to, before you have to rerun any of em, he was as great at covering other's music as he was at performing his own. Started in the 80's with Soundgarden, then put out a Tribute album honoring a friend in 1991, called Temple of the Dog, then he joined with the guys from Rage Against the Machine, to form Audioslave in 2000 or 2001? Then they lasted until 2007 or 2008? He was back with the guys from Soundgarden at the end tho and he took his own life in May of 2017. R.I.P. Chris Cornell, thank you

@@maryhuhnke8496 I agree, don't get me started, Anyone with half a brain can look at the evidence and see, this was NOT suicide! He would have NEVER, EVER, EVER left his children like that, NEVER!! "Prince's music is the soundtrack to the soulful and beautiful universe he created, and we have all been privileged to be part of that amazing world. I performed his song 'Nothing Compares 2 U' for the first time a couple months ago. It has a timeless relevance for me and practically everyone I know. Sadly, now his own lyrics in this song could not be more relevant than at this moment, and I sing them now in reverence as I pay tribute to this unequaled artist who has given all of our lives so much inspiration and made the world so much more interesting. Yes Chris Cornell did a perfect job his voice is amazing compiled with a great song written by Prince equals nothing but tears blowing down one's face. Sinead O'Connor did a cover song of this as well back in the 90s it's worth a listen. But for me personally as good as Sinead O'Connor did with her cover song and as well as Chris Cornell did 'nothing compares' to the original song by Prince. In a little tidbit for you Prince wrote this song in 7 minutes and it took him less than 24 hours to record it and it was an instant hit from that point on. It's no wonder that artist like Sinead O'Connor and Chris Cornell wanted to respectively do cover songs of "nothing compares to you". You should most definitely not only listen to the Sinead O'Connor version, but listen to the original version by Prince.
