I met him in my 20’s when he opened for Tina Turner. I worked at a radio station so I had backstage passes. After he did the “meet and greet” with contest winners I went up to him and said something really silly because that’s just who I am. Me: Thank you for singing every song directly to me. Chris (slight pause)- It was hard finding you in the crowd, but once our eyes met it was magical. 😂😂😂 (This was in the 90’s, so I’m old too!)
