He was a great example of a good ol country boy. I grew up listening to him here in Southwest Tennessee. Drank many a cold beer, and dipped many a can of Copenhagen, jamming his music, while riding down gravel roads. I'm also a fan of his son Ned's music.

Got to hang out with Chris during his break in a set. He really was a great guy and true. He came and sat down with me and my buddies and just bullshitted with us for the 15 minutes. This was after his musical resurrection thanks to Garth. Chris was still the same, old cowboy that doesn’t give a shit.

A man has to have priorities. I had an uncle who was a professional bull rider back in the day. One night he got bucked off this monster Brahma bull and then it stepped right in the middle of his face. It broke his nose, most of his teeth and both of his cheek bones .When my uncle regained consciousness a few minutes later, the first thing he said was “where’s my hat ?” Priorities!

As a fellow Texan most people don't understand how large our state is. We have to drive quite a ways to go anywhere. Horses wouldn't be feasible anymore.

I grew up in wyoming so i heard plenty of him growing up. My middle name is Ledoux so whenever people ask me my middle name i just say i was named after a great country singer. Also its said L-uh-do
