I'm interested to know what you like better about the Grammy performance? I mean, I get it. I like this one a hair better because of small nuances I prefer, but I wouldn't be mad at seeing either one of them live. Lol. Just wondering what nuances you like about the other performance that makes it your favorite. 🙂🎵🎸

I like the CMA performance for the instrumental arrangement. But the Grammy's vocal performance was much better for me. So much more emphasis on the passion, emotion and conviction during that performance. Although I love them both. Chris is amazing.
@larzz1846
@larzz1846 Жыл бұрын
@@Melly01 the differences are minute. I like the more intense vocals after the bridge. I love the more intricate fingerpicking he does on the outro. Overall I think the performance is slightly more intense and passionate. The way he held that note in the Grammy performance puts it over the top. Just my personal observation. Both performances are perfect honestly and though lol.

This is such a good song, right?! He does such a good job of letting that guitar sing for him, it's an extension of his own dynamic voice. Love it! And love the strings! Btw, there's a new great CMA performance he did with Patty Loveless. They gave me chills. If you search for "Patty Loveless & Chris Stapleton - You'll Never Leave Harlan Alive (CMA Awards 2022)" on his channel, that's the one you want to watch. Or the CMA channel one. It's soooo good. The same song (You'll Never Leave Harlan Alive) is sung by a few people, but before this performance, my favorite group that sang it was Red Molly. Their harmony is amazing. But the Chris Stapleton and Patty Loveless one is soooo good. Also, Justin Timberlake's Say Something with Chris Stapleton is a great one. But you've got to see the official video for that one. Thanks for the great reaction, Mello!

Chris's voice cuts a hole through your soul. I was lucky enough to see him before he was "famous" when he sang with Steel Drivers and Jompson Brothers and my first thoughts "I'll see this man on an awards show". The other two reactions I have watched of that song, the reactors loved it so much that they declared it their favorite Chris Stapleton song. And they are huge fans. His song Death Row has a different vibe than most of the songs I've heard from him. It still has the blues, but it's different. I prefer the studio version over a live version which is odd because the majority of his live performances are better than the stuido. To me, the studio of Death Row is better. Would love to see you react to it. Chris is his own genre. Can't put Chris in a box!!!
