This is a cover of a Lionel Richie song not anything to do with Adele. Dimash doesn't sing this anymore on request from Lionel Richie probably because Dimash's version is outstanding. Thank goodness Dimash writes his own songs or has them written for him especially by Igor Krutoy. Dimash did covers of MJ and Queen, I am sure both MJ and Freddie Mercury would have adored Dimash and been only too pleased for him to cover their work, they were both true artists and generous spirits, they are both sorely missed. Completely agree about Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson, they would be working together and it would be incredible! Lara Fabian complemented his cover of Adagio, of course I think that they adore each other. I have noticed that Dimash hasn’t done Je Suis Malade, probably out of respect. Loved this song when it came out, but this is a whole other level ❤

This was 2018, the year after Dimash appeared on I am singer in China where he found world wide fame on you tube. He was invited that following year as a guest. Jesse Jay was on the comp 2018 and there is footage of her seeing Dimash sing this song. She is amazed.

The flute called Sybyzgy - made of reeds or wood 50-70 cm with 3-7 holes, which is particularly common in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The instrument was particularly popular with shepherds and was used by storytellers. They went across the country and told stories and legends in chants and with music (Kui). There are many legends and traditions associated with sybyzgy. In these legends the instrument is called a "living reed", because this strong, hollow stem, makes amazingly deep sounds. The whole life of Kazakhs is imbued with music, it sounds in ceremonies and rituals, in everyday life and at holidays. Listening to the sounds of dombra, kobyz or sybyzgy, one can understand the history and culture of the Kazakh people. It was easy and fast to make a sybyzgy, but it was very difficult to play it. Sybyzgy kuis (Kui: sung stories) were most two-voice melodies: the first voice came from the instrument and the second voice was the throat singing of the musician-performer.(www)

Like in many other arrangements, Dimash melds sacred music traditions of different cultures and ages into something uniquely his own. In this piece, for example, you hear Turkic throat singing - the ancient song of the steppes - creating the foundation while Dimash’s melismas soar high above it. This style is pretty pervasive all over Asia; however, every region or country has its own unique take on it. The music of ancient cultures often used chants, overtone singing, and melismatic techniques to induce a hypnotic trance in the listener. Dimash is not only aware of the power of music to alter one’s state of consciousness, he wields this power masterfully but with great respect. The instrument is a traditional Qazaq flute called a sybyzgy. Also, for those who may not already know, he sings “I love you” in three different languages. First in English, then twice in Mandarin, “wo ai ni” and at the end, in Qazaq, “men seni suyemin.” What he whispers at the very end is “fei chang gan xie” which is thank you very much in Mandarin.

At the end of the second verse, Dimash sings "I love you" in Mandarin ("Wo ai ni") to the Chinese audience, and again in the third verse, adding "Men (I) seni (you) suyemin(love)" in Kazakh, before whispering "Thank you very much" in Mandarin at the end. Dimash beautifully incorporates Middle Eastern (Armenian, Turkish, Arabic, Azerbaijani, Kazakh) runs in the song.

Thank you so much for choosing "Hello".Personally I like Lionel Richie's version but Dimash really made it more beautiful and impressive for his Dears in China.He chose to sing the words "wah-ai-ni"(Chinese Mandarin language) instead of "I love you" sounding sweeter and more meaningful to the audience.By the way the word for an Indian who can control a snake is "snake charmer".From Bankok with love.Happy Valentine's Day..!!

May be more Arabic melissa ? Dimash re-arranges nearly all of songs that are covers. Influences are many certainly Michael Jackson js one of them. Yes, it's a cover of the lionel richie's version. Remember too Dimaxh is in his early 20s here. ( he's 29 this may 2023 ). The foreign sounded words were Chinese, he was saying I love u in Chinese, because the whole audience is Chinese.

That chanting is from several religions. Dimash is muslim you know. Muslims use a lot of those chantings.

Those "chants" are really just scales that have quarter half tones that our western "ear palettes" are not used to hearing. Those smaller intervals between the notes are used in a lot of eastern countries in Asia and the Middle East.

This is a cover of Lionel Ritchie’s song Hello. Lionel requested that he not perform this song anymore so Dimash doesn’t perform it anymore. This has nothing to do with Adel’s song Hello.

This is not a tribute to MJ. Not an Adele song. It is a Lionel Ritchie song. You had it right at first. I appreciate your comments & respect for Dimash's talent. But I do have to say you're a bit confused on the artists part. You're funny too 😊 Good reaction!

This is Lionel Richie's Hello not Adele's Hello. That information was actually on the screen when you first started the video. I would have thought you would recognize that unless you are not familiar with the lyrics of Lionel Richie's song. It happens, but mis-identifying the song is a huge error.
