The music of this composition was created by the Japanese composer and singer Koji Tamaki to the text of the poet and composer Goro Mattsui. This song is about the fate of the Chinese actress, Japanese by nationality Yoshiro Yamagushi, who was born in China. During the Sino-Japanese War, she hid her Japanese origin, taking the name Li San Liang. After the end of the war, her secret was revealed, her real name was made public. Authorities accused the actress of "cultural espionage." Humiliated and insulted, she was deported to Japan, having received a ban on entry into the Celestial Empire. To China, she has never been able to return. In 2014, the actress passed away.

She did return many years later as an official (I forget what) As mentioned, look for Ikanaide, in his studio, for the Tokyo Jazz Festival, 2021. He couldn't go to perform there bc of Covid restrictions. It is truly beautiful and absolutely perfect. Love yr reactions. Cheers.

Autumn Strong. The song is about Yoshiko Yamaguchi (山口淑子), a Japanese actress born in China during World War II. She hid her Japanese heritage from her under the name Li XIanglan. She became famous in China. However, years after the end of the war her identity was revealed and she was accused of being a spy and she was deported back to Japan and did not return to China for many years as it was prohibited at the time. Ms. Yamaguchi returned to China in her final years as Vice Minister of the Environment in the Japanese Parliament. This song says goodbye to his Chinese name Li Xianglan. The song is a metaphor, since the lyrics talk about how a person has to hide what he feels inside. Greetings from Panama

Thank you for a wonderful reaction! He was really worried that people would not understand his accent and would not connect to him as this was the first time singing in Chinese. So, he worked really hard (he had only one week to learn and arrange the song). The soprano part was the tribute to the actress/singer, to whom the song was dedicated to.

I’m really pleased you like this one but he also sings this exact same song in Japanese until the title Ikanaide so just be on the lookout if you see it in the future! ☺️. This is the Chinese version of Ikanaide. Did you already react to that? This was the first time he sang in Chinese in front of a Chinese audience: afraid they would not understand him, but their reactions tell it all. One of my favourites.

This version of I'm singer 2017 is good but is old more of 6 years and is not my favorite version..I like all his versions in his concerts,also when he mixed Late Autumn/Autumn Strong and Ikanaide in the same song,only a phenomenal genius like him can do this things and even more..My favorite version of Late Autumn/Autumn Strong is Kiev concert march 2020 few days before the global shutdown for pandemic covid-19..This version is really wonderful and touching..The video is in Dimash's channel..King Angel Dimash Forever

I'm so used to the Japanese version that I'm embarrassed how long it took me to recognize which song this was. The title threw me off. I'm just so used to it just being Ikanaide. You should really watch the Japanese version that he did for the Tokyo Jazz Fest. It's probably my personal favorite live Dimash performance. It's incredible. He's more subdued in the Mandarin version here. He blows the roof off the place in the Japanese version. Like, you can hear the mic struggling in a couple of places. As far as more Dimash, his newest release, Omir, is fantastic. The video and the song are both absolutely gorgeous. If you do it, definitely turn the subtitles on because the message of the song is just as gorgeous as the visual and the audio. And as far as other artists go, no one will ever compare to Dimash but I personally am obsessed with Jeff Satur out of Thailand. His two newest singles, Dum Dum and Lucid, are both so good. They're on opposite ends of the spectrum and both fantastic.

Dimash competed in The Singer competition only in 2017. He was invited back in 2018 as a guest when he sang Hello. There is a story behind Autumn Strong and someone in the comments has already given the link. Great reaction to our Dimash once again. So yes, this is a cover from the Japanese singer/song writer Koji Tamaki. And the Chinese version is technically a cover. And Dimash sings it so beautifully. I'm so happy you covered another Dimash performance. If you want to cover an original Dimash song. He released one on his birthday, May 24, for his Dears. That was episodes 1, 2 and 7 of Season 5 of Singer, this song was episode 4. So episode 3 he sang The Show Must Go On, episode 5 is Uptown Funk, Episode 6 is Adagio, episode 8 is Daybreak, where he lost his voice, episode 9 was All By Myself, episode 10 was Unforgettable Day, episode 11 he didn't perform, episode 12 was Confessa plus the Diva Dance, episode 13 was finale with his Tribute to MJ and episode 14 was Give Me Love (bonus episode). Then in 2018 he sang on episode 14 Hello by Lionel Richie and 2019 he was a guest of the Super Vocal Boys where he sang a Queen Medley. I think thats all the Singer performances.

On the singer, Sandy Lam ended up winning over Dimash. She has a couple really stunning performances. I think they are worth a watch atleast! I think she also has some capeability to pull in your heartstrings! Her songs: My dearest, blue lotus, kepler, Run and Rouge are all worth a watch!

This remains my favorite performance by Dimash. What it may lack in some of the vocal gymnastics of other performances, it more than makes up with the obvious emotional connection of both Dimash to the song and the emotional connection of the audience to Dimash. You are right, it is an important and famous song to the Chinese. You need to view the long version from the Goria Wu channel that shows both the backstory of the song itself and Dimash preparing for the performance. Dimash for the first time performed in Mandarin for this Chinese competition. He learned the song phonetically in one week. Amazing that this was the result. He was very nervous that his pronunciation would be bad and he so wanted to honor the warm kindness to the Chinese for accepting him. He performed this so stunningly. This is the Chinese version of the original Japanese song Ikanaide which Dimash later performed as well in 2021. It tells of the same story shared between the Japanese and Chinese ppl after WWII of a famous beloved actress in China during the war that was born in China but of Japanese heritage. She pretended to be Chinese and it was only after the war that her true identity became known. She was accused of being a spy. Escaping execution, she was later only deported to Japan as punishment. Agree 100%. The whole production is so good. Everything works perfectly from the direction, the lighting, how they shortly cut to the other contestants and people in the audience in places where it doesn`t take anything away from the performance, the full orchestra with the most amazing, talented musicians, the backing vocalists.. And the way Dimash uses his voice, brings the emotion, the way he carries himself, even what he wares is always on point. The music shows in the west should take notes and learn how to make the performance, the art, the star, the most important thing and not all the other stuff around it. Great job, indeed.

I'm wondering if you will ever react to Daneliya Tuleshova again ? In case you do her is her recent showing on AGT The All-Stars 2023. She sings Duncan Laurence's 'Arcade'. Though she didn't make it past the first night, and I have a whole thought about that, she still was the most popular performance of the night. Just like the last time she was on that franchise in 2020 where every one of her performances had more than a million views a couple had more than 5-6 million views. This had more 4 million in the first two weeks. She has more than 6.6 million views on the AGT official video alone. There are two other sights that offer her performance that are both getting close to a million views each. Daneliya just turned 17 on the 18th of July maybe you could give her a birthday present and watch and react to that video. P.S. I should tell you that Daneliya had been sick all day of her performance. She actually thought she was going lose her voice. Luke, this song sends shivers down my spine and forearms. The other title is Ikanaide ( sung in Japanese) you might want to hear it . Omg!! This is one of my favorites by him.

Yes, most definitely. The most popular version of unforgettable day is down to Dimash missing the G7 that he normally sang and hitting the D8 instead. Plus he's always forgetting his lyrics if he's not near a monitor, it's become a running joke with him.

No, there’s no one else like Dimash. This song was originally in Japanese and entitled Ikanaide. It was later translated into Cantonese then into Mandarin which is what he performed here. The song was the theme song of a movie about Li XiangLan (Yoshiko Yamaguchi in Japanese) a famous singer/actress during the Japanese occupation of China. She played the lead in many Japanese propaganda movies, usually falling in love with a Japanese officer or such. After the war, she was tried for treason, at which point she revealed that she was actually Japanese by birth (her parents had immigrated to Manchuria) though later adopted by a rich Chinese friend of her father who could afford to nurture her talent. So instead of a death sentence, she was deported to Japan. This version in Mandarin however has nothing g to do with this movie and simply depicts very poetically the sadness of separation in autumn. Interestingly, Dimash later sang this song in its original Japanese for the Tokyo Jazz Festival. However, since this was during the pandemic, it was recorded in studio. Believe it or not, the new version was even better than this!

Day 66 of recommending the Beyblade openings. There are the Japanese ones and the English ones. The English version has one opening for a generation, and that for the 1st and 2nd generation. The 3rd gen has one op for one season. But the Japanese version has multiple ops for a season in any gen. You should definitely check both versions out. I made playlists on my channel, so you don't need to search, cause in those compilations are a few off and not in the correct order. Thanks for checking out!

Please please you have to react to "Daybreak" from Dimash BUT his live version (Bastau 2017) with SUBTITLES. The song is about a kid who lost his parents, they sacrificed their lives for him. The author of the song adopted that kid.

Not sure where Late Autumn came from, but the song is called "Autumn Strong." Wish you had looked for the extended version so you could see the beautiful and sad story behind this song.
