This is from his 1968 Comeback Special….but when he came on the scene in 1954/‘55, most people had never seen anything like him….he had the voice, the looks, the moves, the musicianship, the personality…Elvis was the total package!

Shows you how starved a section of young women were for any kind of real sensuality in that era. Elvis allowed us to express ourselves in a way we hadn't before. He took R&B and turned it into something that was able to break through the barrier. In the 70's he didn't have the same critics to fight. He was already accepted by the world. He just had to make the transition back from movies to live shows. Good reaction. Cheers from Canada

God all Mighty! Everything about him! He had so much soul. This was recorded (The 68 Comeback Special) shortly after Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. & Robert Kennedy both were assassinated. He closed the show with If I can dream. He desperately wanted our hurting Nation to come together in one of the darkest times in modern History. I strongly suggest that you watch that performance. Everytime I see it, I'm moved to tears. I also suggest that do a remake of One Night With You. You sounded great!

Was a kid then but remember the times full of turmoil watching it every night on the news and we are in turbulent times again. In a 5 days we will know which way this nation is going to turn, into fascism or into a future with hope of a new American dream.

I was a little tike when Elvis was really popular. I remember my older brother and other guys his age, think my brother was about 13-16, combing their hair back and trying to get that piece of hair to hang down in front just like Elvis!

After seeing how awesome he is in so many different genres, he's definitely the GOAT when you talk about pure pop singers. The looks, sex appeal, swag, charisma, guitar playing, etc., it's all icing on the cake compared to that voice. You've got a lot of that Elvis sex type appeal, too, and a great voice from what I've heard. I'm new here, too, but are you pursuing a singing career? Just wondering as I've worked with a few well known people helping them get their careers started and you have a unique and different style about you.
