Faouzia was born in Morocco, but raised in Canada. Her Arabic heritage is woven through her music. She switches to Arabic at the end of this song. She's chanting "freedom". She was just nominated for a Juno, the Canadian equivalent of Grammy. She has a killer duet with John Legend called "Minefields'. You have to check out the original music video for her song "Tears of Gold". She also released 'stripped" versions of most of her popular originals. Those are the absolute best. Often just her at the piano. My faves are "Bad Dreams"(a must see!), "You Don't Even Know Me", and of course "Tears of Gold ". One of her signature songs. She also does incredible covers, like J. Faouzia is a quite a talent -- great vocal ability, plays multiple instruments and is also a songwriter. Faouzia has plenty of excellent self-written songs and also some wonderful covers including a dramatic, drastic re-imagining of J. Cole's rap song, "Middle Child".

Faouzia is absolutely amazing!!! Enjoy the journey into her world!! You will NOT be disappointed! I LOVE all of her songs, mainly the stripped versions, but Puppet & Hero are the two that I think the produced versions bring the words to life, where others just her at the piano make more sense. She is SO passionate and loves her craft! ❤️❤️❤️ Another world to fall into is Dimash’s. He’s been tagged as the best voice on the planet. If you check him out, the best song to start with is S.O.S., whether you go with his first 2017 version from the Chinese reality show I Am A Singer or if you go with a later version, that’s the song to start with. Gives you an introduction to his voice and just a morsel of what he’s capable of. Oh, S.O.S. Is in French, so find one that you can get captions for if you want. Well, I really do like your reaction. It's a sane, nice and normal one. Just happy to hear it, right away after I have spent a great piece of my time reacting to the reaction (😅😅😅) of another guy commenting it, just like you. Well, TBH, not exactly just like you. Because, he is 10 timeish more followed than you, AND, most of all, he REALLY didn't get the song, beside a clever-ish style ... Well, maybe you are less popular and less expansive, you just say what you have to say without emphasising as much as he does... But at least, YOU got it.
