Works clean in comedy is a comedian who’s act is “clean” or “G Rated” no cursing. Like Bob Saget (RIP) was not a “clean” comedian but if Danny Tanner (For those who don’t know that’s his character on Full House) was a comedian he’d be a “clean” comedian.

Henry Cho is another comedian who works clean. And has a great schtick. Full blooded Korean, but born and raised in Tennessee. He comes out on stage and says "Howdy." then continues with a Tennessee accent "I know what y'all are thinkin' ... there's somethin' wrong with this picture." He's got a good act.

When I was a young woman in my 20s I was obsessed with travel. In a span of 5 years I traveled more than 100 times around the world to every continent except Antarctica. The majority of the time I traveled alone. I had some bad experiences but 99% of the time I had wonderful experiences. I found that if you are willing to show respect to people's culture and realize that you are a guest in their country then people are friendly and welcoming. It was a life changing experience. We are really one. We all basically want the same things as people (not talking about governments). I wouldn't trade the education I received for a Harvard doctorate.

I lived in Saudi for 3 years and I’m almost in tears hearing another American describe the experience so exactly. The people were so nice. I was jumpy-they didn’t deserve it. Their humor was so amazing and surprisingly self-deprecating. And while I am white, it was also the first time I experienced being with black or Latino Americans and having us all grouped together with no distinction. We clung together as people who were the same when we felt lost. Anyway, this was so amazing and hilarious and I am so glad I heard it through your channel:)

I remember visiting Paris for Disneyland and we got on with every other Brit and we were sooooo happy to see them, though we are Pakistani by heritage we could tell they knew right away with our accents and they seemed pretty happy too. Shared a taxi with one pair of friends and waited in line for a ride with a British family, that was a different kind of happy.

As it’s really funny, but as a Saudi I consider it a documentary of how our country has been changed in such short term. The new Saudi Arabia is open for everyone with one of the easiest visa process, the religious police has no power anymore, and even Fluffy himself made many shows in different cities after this one, public ones not in the desert, Great reaction with good comments, I enjoy it. Thank you

yes agree the new prince changed and improved many things sadly Syria and Egypt going in the opposite situation :(
@cyberneticbutterfly8506
@cyberneticbutterfly8506 Жыл бұрын
@@mariakara4848 I see that as a trend not just in the middle east but worldwide. There is something happening in forces working in the opposite direction starting to leverage the power of new media that they didn't understand in previous decades. The important thing to remember is that nothing is ever done by countries like "Saudi Arabia", "China" or "Egypt". Everything is done by specific individuals, they are both the ones responsible for doing good and doing evil. Unfortunately it's faster to speak in terms of more general labels like Egypt so people get into the habit of avoiding nuance. Holding bad people responsible and supporting good forces in the world, this depends in large part on having clear thinking about this. Holding specific people and factions responsible for their actions, forcing ourselves and those in media to speak of who is responsible rather than what general group is responsible. If we can do this we can turn the trend in all nations including Syria and Egypt.

When I was teaching preschool and Kindergarten in a Montessori school, I had quite a few families from Saudi Arabia that I worked with, and they were all lovely. I've also been a language partner at a university working with Saudi Arabian students and the students were all men in their late 20s and 30s (so a lot closer to my age than the average college student) and we had a wonderful time. They were very open about their lives and asked me a lot of questions....one of them was why at my age I wasn't married and didn't have children. They also encouraged me to learn Arabic, which I honestly wish I would have.

Excellent reaction to a really great story. I have also watched an Arab react to this, and he confirmed much of what Gabriel was saying. For example, the guy who got on the plane and pointed at Gabriel and his friends -- that is apparently a very Middle Eastern way of grabbing attention. Also, the new comedian who talked to Gabriel after the show told him a joke. "Two Jews walk into a bar. ... Not in my country!" All I focused on was the "two Jews" part. But it was doubly funny to the Arab reacting, because there are no bars in Saudi Arabia.

Totally get your point about how you’ve been treated by middle eastern people (their kindness). I was a teacher for a few years in an inner city charter school (11th grade). Taught a lot of rough students with bad situations at home. One of my classes had a large number of “ESL” girls from the Middle East who were still in the process of learning English and were in my history class. They were from Syria, Afghanistan, Iran, etc… some coming to America to escape violence…and they were some of the most polite, warm, and dedicated teens I had ever worked with. Genuinely great people.

That's actually correct. I know my comment is a year later, but notice that the Israelis know this in responding to Hamas. They've tamed it down a notch, but they also know that it's how to keep respect in that region. The Middle East is not a war-torn region for no reason. It's the mindset. Western culture just does not understand that. People who are "supporting Palistine" are being played.

And I'm not talking about "oh, it got updated just before we went live so there was no way for us to report it." No, this was information that had been out ALL DAY and was _still_ being reported incorrectly in the evening hours, even though other places with the same political affiliation managed to report on it within a couple hours of it coming out. It's like they don't care as long as their political narrative is espoused. That's why approval ratings for all mass media is practically at an all time low right now.

Middle eastern here 🤚 you have to understand that muslims suffer from terrorists more than americans or the west in general, but, also people hate that any other country would interfere because it will either steal resources or create military bases there while using (fighting terrorism) as an excuse, Nasty politics agendas you know, and sadly innocent people die in the mix and i mean (Soldiers) basically who fights for thier countries political agendas and die thinking that they serve the country which is not always true. But generally speaking, people are people everywhere, Friendly, fun and generous, and I would happily serve you my national food and eat together and chat and have fun all the time. And let politicians kill each other screw them all. I love americans as people not as a country or regime or whatever because people are people everywhere (mostly good with some bad apples here and there) sadly most bad apples rule because of their hunger of money, strength, superiority.. Etc. Peace brother ❤️

21:07 That kind of thing just brings a tear to my eyes! People of all backgrounds and social statuses, coming together and having a good laugh. Not taking anything too seriously or personally, just understanding that this is all for everyone to have fun and enjoy! Honestly I am surprised by that because even on other news networks, the Middle East is known for zero-tolerance religious laws and hating America. But someone who actually went to that country is able to tell such great stories about the people of that country, sharing the many many good things about the country. Instead of focusing on the less frequent and more radical groups and evil acts like American news shows.

32:13 Definitely, cultural awareness and intelligence is a great skill, and it should be a must nowadays. Plus, taking some time to start learning the language, shows respect and commitment to the people you're interacting with. Respect begets respect. Peace.

"I had to go halfway around the world to be called an American." That's a pretty profound statement about how white America treats it's melanin-blessed citizens. Whether we're talking about people who just look different from us, or people with a wholly different language and culture, we're still all basically the same. We all want the same things, we all dream and hope and cry and bleed. Let's act like it for a change.

My sons dad is from Morocco. He was here studying at our military base, back in the 70s. He went back after his training was over and I never heard from him again. No child support or letters. My son was contacted by his half brother after his dad died in 2005 from cancer, talk about karma. My son went to Morocco in 2015 to meet his half brother and 2 half sisters and was welcomed as family.

Hey, great reaction. I loved hearing the Morocco story, too! As a Christian, I wanted to clear up that seafood thing. It's true that the Torah forbids anything that doesn't have fins *and* scales, however, it's important to understand the Bible is about 1000+ years worth of writing, and things do develop and change. Jesus, in Mark 7:18-19 says, ' "Then are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him, since it enters not his heart but his stomach, and is expelled?" (Thus he declared all foods clean.)' A few decades later, the Apostles, by the leading of the Holy Spirit, in Acts 15 do add two dietary restrictions: things that have been strangled, and blood.

Admittedly, most Christians don't understand the intricacies of their own faith book but I, as well as many many others, do take it seriously enough to study these things and live by them. No anger here, I just wanted to clarify!

@@zachbalko90 I'm not sure what you mean by that, but I did demonstrate that, when it comes to dietary laws at least, Jesus did change the law in Mark 7:18-19. This is not my own subjective understanding, the text literally says 'he declared all foods clean.' Though we Christians do need to take into consideration the Holy Spirit's amendation in Acts 15 which, sadly, many Christians do ignore.

I love your videos my guy, I started watching them this spring, I'd had a particularly nasty row with my Epilepsy and I was inside since like November and you stay in your parents house that long trying to get well again, you wanna laugh. So I'm looking up all the reactions to comedians and music I can the last few months just some kind of escapism. As soon as I saw your first reaction, I think it was to a Bo Burnham "Inside" bit I lost it and spent like 4 solid days just going down the rabbit hole. Your videos are intelligent, they're witty, funny, they make you think. All the things I wanted and needed while I was healing. Thank you so much for your reactions, my friend.

Fortunately, during my 23 years of military service I also have seen peoples of many countries. It is a shame people of the world just don't get along. We would better understand the world a lot more. By the way MrLboyd, on my trip to Morocco I fell in love with Lamb Tangine. Oh my goodness it was something like I've never eaten before. God Bless MrLboyd.

I have traveled the globe, been to Brunei and Indonesia (Asian Muslim) as well as Dubai and Oman which are Arab Muslim, I cant dispute anything that Fluffy or yourself have said. I had the "Faux" news mentality the first time I visited the Middle East but I was soooooo wrong. The Middle Eastern people were incredibly polite and hospitable and the FOOD, Forget about it. Nothing short of amazing. Mt preconceived notions were so far off base its unbelievable. The only thing I never figured out was the fact that all the men had pristine white robes regardless of what they were doing. How did they keep them so clean. Other than that, the people were incredible and I am blessed by the fantastic conversations I had. As you might expect, because of how western civilization views those in the Middle East, few take that time to visit and the Arab people jump at the chance to use their knowledge of English. If you get the opportunity to visit the Middle East, take it. you wont regret the decision. My only advice is, dont be scared, be open to new experiences (especially the food), disregard any news reports (I dont say this lightly) and dont say NO. These are some of the nicest, most genuine people I have found on the planet. You will thank me later.

The govt. keeps trying to divide and conquer in the name of trying to be sure all are equally served, yet they keep the divisions alive. There are good and bad people represented in all the skin tones. Fluffy also learned that people can be friendly but still are respectful and expect respect.
