Funny thing is and it’s possibly been said already but jagër was actually invented as a cough medicine in the 1950s i think (going off memory). And it wasn’t branded into alcohol until I think the late 90s again off memory probably wrong feel free to correct me on either. But yeah it was initially cough medicine hence why it’s so thick

You can measure wine. He's right about it being less than half, but there is a certain amount you're supposed to pour, don't remember how much, in any glass, regardless of size, unless really tiny. Glasses are different sizes which makes it a pain to know if your pouring the right amount. Shot glasses are made for shots, but try to pour a shot in a regular cup, you might get more, you might get less. You might be able to if you ever pored a shot into a glass, I supposes this might be a thing if you mix drinks or something, but I'm used to like needing a mix/shaker thing. When you get new wine glasses, it is recommended and people who actually want to pour wine properly will measure out the wine as previously mentioned with water, pour it into the glass, so they can learn how much liquid is supposed to be in that glass. Some people I know will have only one type of wine class for this reason. Once you're used to the amount, you can eye-ball it later. This is good for glasses that are very wide, in which less than half can be more than the right amount. I'm not a drinker and wine is usually seen as a potential ingredient for food, like white wine for grilled salmon and things of that nature. Actually experts are welcome to correct me on wine info.

what he's saying isn't true. I've had Jaeger and threw up moments later. maybe it was all the other stuff, but the jaeger was the last straw, maybe that was it. I've never only drunk jaeger though, so I can't say if that just makes you super drunk and you can't throw up. I use to drink Jaeger before it was popular, before the "Jaeger bomb" was a thing. I mixed it with red soda. we called the drink a "firetruck" and if you put some Vodka in it too it was "firetruck with it's hose out" lol.

Can't measure wine? False. Former bartender. An appropriate pour is about 5-6 ounces, and that results in about 4 glasses per standard bottle of wine. Pour less (unless directed by the customer) and you're shorting them, giving them less than they paid for. Pour more, and you could lose your liquor license for promoting over-intoxication. Glass shape is accounted for in training at the relevant location by pouring the wine into a measuring cup, then into the glass to learn how full the glass should look.
