Johnny "Guitar" Watson career spanned from the 1950's to the 1980's. The highlight of his career was the 1970's with songs like Aint that a Bitch, Real Mother for Ya, and Superman Lover. He was Etta James biggest influence. If you listen to his early stuff you can hear were Etta James got a lot of her vocals style. Etta James said on many occasions that Johny Guitar Watson was her biggest influence she tour with him a lot in her early years. Although Guitar was his main instrument he was a multi instrurmentlist.
