There are 3 more KDA songs "Drum go dum" "I'll show you" and "the baddest" Additionally if you want more "league of legends" I'd suggest the Netflix show "Arcane" which features a bunch of characters from the game and puts it together in a pretty epic story told in 9 x 40min episodes. The plot of the show takes the base of the games lore but fills in the details with their own additions. So even people who have no idea about league or the characters can get a lot of out of it. They do an excellent job giving you all the info you need without being overbearing. Overall it's currently regarded as one of the best adult focused animations out there. Just to clarify with "adult focused" I don't mean raunchy jokes or nsfw content but excellent writing with a mature story that isn't aimed at kids.

"How did it start?" - Riot made promotional shorts early on, but their first music video was "Get Jinxed!", animated by Fortiche. A couple years after that, they began production on their animated series, Arcane (have you seen Arcane? Must Watch). To support the production of Arcane, Fortiche was hugely expanded. And then, a couple years into production, the creative team for Arcane was told that their efforts just weren't going to work. So they had to completely scrap what they'd done and start over from scratch, hiring new writers and such. However Fortiche had built themselves up on the premise that they were going to get the work of producing Arcane, and with the animation side on hold, that kind of left them in a lurch. They'd hired hundreds of animators, but now they didn't have enough work. So, Riot found another way to keep using Fortiche - the championship music videos, starting with Rise in 2017, and K/DA's POP/STARS in 2018. And it just snowballed from there.

Once you know more about the champions, Evelyn in this case, the lyrics and visuals hit so much harder. She's a demon that lures prey with her body and loves to play mind games. Suggestion: Imagine Dragon & JID Enemy Beyond that, you really need to try watching Arcane. The show is set in the League of Legends world, Runterra, and it is beyond phenomenal. The video I suggested is literally a music video for the show, featuring characters from the show, the overall vibe of the show, and the animation of the show. If you're blown away by the animation in the video, you need to watch the show, because it is as good as the animation in the video, if not better. I'm not a League of Legends fan... never have been, never will be (MOBAs just are not my kind of game), but I've loved exploring the videos and now the show that they've put out... it's all just such a rich setting, and the energy of persevering through hardship and challenges that they feature so often hits home very powerfully. I love it. Arcane is my favorite thing to be set in their world.

Arcane the show on Netflix is a story within the League of Legends universe, I highly recommend trying that out with the other League cinematics and MVs!!!

You really should react to episode 1 of "Arcane". That one is definitely gonna destroy your mind. There are many reasons why even professional movie critics are praising it and calling it a material to be studied for future directors and animators in training.

What’s interesting is that the music video is called a concept video. So when taking that into account when looking at every scene, I’m pretty sure this video was a showcase of the level of cgi, vfx, and animation that the studio is capable of. From shadows, to fire, fabric simulation and texture morphing, hand tracking/animation, smoke, destruction from the furniture and chandelier, facial skin texturing, and so much more. It’s amazing that they can showcase all these techniques and technology while still showcasing the character of Evelynn and what her personality is all about.

this is for sure my fav KDA release. just such a vibe and representing the Evelynn lore so well! and i really loved what they did with Drum go Dum, also really fit the concept imo even if they brought it in an unexpected direction (trying not to spoil stuff)

I've a playlist with so many of them on Spotify I could literally leave it playing for an entire week's worth of time, which is about how long it lasts. Only the best, from as early as the early 90's. I go into every game I play expecting to find something to add to it. For example, Final Fantasy 6 (a Super Nintendo game released in 94) has an **opera** sung and acted out in it. It made my jaw drop as a little kid. A memorable moment in gaming history for those who study it or who have played it back then.

It's funny you should say that with the Movie trailers because, one of those Videos had such a massive reaction, they went and made a actual 9 episode Series (3 arcs each 3 episodes, so a triple trilogy) out of it, it all started with "Get Jinxed (ft. you asked why other game companies arent doing this, now I want you to go look up Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. All of their game trailers, A Realm Reborn: Flames of Truth, Heavensward, Stormblood, Shadowbringers, and finally Endwalker. You will not be dissapointed. Masayoshi Soken does absolutely beautiful music. All of the music from FF XIV is amazing. The first trailer still brings me to tears with the music

About how it started: I may be wrong, but the first real big music video by Riot was the one introducing Jinx. Music had always been a huge part of the game midia. The game's login screen would often have new music made for characters or events. I think every character in the game has their own song, sometimes more than one. But "Get Jinxed", I think, was the first actual music video. And it revolutionized (no exaggeration) the way players consumed Riot's products. Now we have music videos for world championships, major events, skins, new characters, new seasons etc. Plus, we have Arcane, the animated series. The series follow two sisters, one of them is, again, Jinx. And again, music is a huge part of the narrative and many songs were composed on demand for the show. I hope you react to Arcane sometime. It's a very intense, character-driven story and I really think your reaction would be awesome. Also, it does pretty well in general in KZfaq. My recommendations, in no particular order are: Rise Awaken Warriors (2020) "Enemy" and "Get Jinxed" are awesome videos to check out as well, but if you're going to eventually react to Arcane, I would suggest to watch them after the show due to spoilers. Edit: Also "Seconds". It's not a music video, but just in case you would watch for some reason, don't. It gave the biggest spoiler I could have gotten for Arcane.

It started with Christian, a guy who started at RIOT in customer support wanting to make a music video for one of their champions. When he was hired he had mentioned he had been in a band, so they figured, why not. Lets toss him a few dollars and see what he comes up with. He then made the song: Amumu - The curse of the sad mummy. They then found out after that song that Christain was not just a guy who had toured with he's highschool band, but someone who had actually performed infront of a 100,000 member audience. That same Christian is the co-writer, co-producer and co-composer of Arcane. Lets just say Riot had an ex-superstar on their hands who just loved the game and wanted to be a part of RIOT withoutthem knowing about it until a few years later :P Christian made the song in 2011/2012, but because he was made immediately RIOT's head of music he's song wasn't released until 2015 :'(

"How did this start?" In the game there's like 150+ characters you can play as. The game is free to play and you can't buy advantages (like better gear and so on) so they make their money selling "Skins" for the characters. Basically changing the theme, visuals, outfits, vfx, sound effects, etc... of a character to fit a certain archetype. Just cosmetic stuff K/DA is a skin line for several characters where they're all dressed up as pop-stars and have fancy visual effects and musical effects in the skin. To promote the skins and sell more, they just released the Pop Stars music video out of nowhere. People liked it so much that later they released a full album with several music videos and even more KDA skins to sell in the game. All the songs are: 1.- Pop Stars 2.- More 3.- The Baddest 4.- Villain 5.- Drum Go Dum 6.- I'll Show You They all have an animated music video except The Baddest (It has a lyric video) and Drum Go Dum (Its music video is live-action coreography)

The best animation in this video is near the beginning where you see her walking in heels and her ankle wobbles because she is walking on uneven ground. An amazing touch they did not need to animate.

Ye the fact that its a concept Video is why the animations are so crazy, the animators didnt have something specific to do for many parts of the video so they apperently just went nuts on the detailing.

Kda itself started for Worlds 2018 because it was hosted by Korea that year so it started with just the first song. Then 2019 they did true damage and there was outrage that it was just kda again after how popular they were. So 2020 in China added seraphine a Chinese singer to more and then they also released the smaller ep. Netflix has arcane which is a whole set of leagues lore for one of there regions.

Loved the Reaction. The Idea for the Music originated from the thought of having an Anthem for the World Championship shortly called Worlds. The worked with several artist and saw it working out. The Fans loved it. Then they started expanding for metal/k-pop and so on.. The first big LoL related song was "Jinxed" which was played in the login screen when jinx was first released as a playable champion. I think the Pentakill band predates that, but its on the heavier side of the metal spectrum, so it never got into the mainstream i think. KDA songs are Pop Stars, The baddest, MORE and this little ep with more like individual songs that vibes and represents with each one of the characthers of the group, wich is Villain (about Evelynn), Drum go Dum (Kai'sa) and I'll show you (Ahri), The baddest is supposed to be more focused on Akali bcus she has more rap lines and stuff.

Its to promote a skinline you can buy that performs in an alternative universe. Riot Games makes a huuuge profit from this skinlines (one skin 10€), so its easier if you can promote is to people in a great song. Because the first song was a big hit, they kept on doing these songs for KDA. There are a lot more cinematics too (but some without music), there are great. I recommend you the video Everything goes on and Light and Shadow (both have music).

After reading some of the comments if haven't seen Arcane then even if you don't do a series on it you need to watch it in your own time at the very least. From its music to its visuals to its story telling its been masterfully crafted with love and care and it shows as its a wonderful masterpiece and an absolutely amazing watch. Its on Netflix and has 3 acts each 3 episodes long, If you are loving the riot games rabbit hole then its an absolute MUST watch.

I am reminding you this is a solo song by Evelynn. Eve is one of those "bad" characters. So it suits her really well. If you want lore it is as easy as going on League Wiki and search it there. But K/DA has its own lore if I remember right. So there are 2 other solo songs and that are Drum Go Dum that is Kai'Sas solo and I'll Show You is Ahris. And yes mostly there are more artists behind their voices except Eve and Akali. So some K/DA lore really shows in Ahris solo. If I remember right in that solo is TWICE apart of it. My favorite is Villain then Drum Go Dum and after that I'll Show You. Don't know why Akali doesn't have a solo..like she us as well in True Damage so maybe that is hers ? Not sure. Maybe you can react to the voice lines of the characters and just look into the Wiki :) But you can do that on your own as well. And yes the voicelines for K/DA skins are different than the ones from the OG skin

Epic music. It's music like this that leaves creative writers like me in ecstasy. I am not even really into Pop but something like this caresses and stimulates all the senses, leaving you drowning in sensations and yet leaving you craving more. It's addictive. Great reaction. You nailed it on the head. It's epic music that movie trailers use. it's because it drives the tension in each person up and envelops them in layers and layers of creatively used sensations. It's the perfect ratio of audio and visuals. KDA seems to hit this mark more than misses.

I will explain the lore behind this song so you literally blow your mind up. The lore of Evelynn is where it gets best. You don't really see her in the entire song. She always appears from the shadows. That's how she is (in real life) and in the game. From the shadows she observes her victims and then she charms them from a distance. Making them want to follow her and desire her. She plays this game for quite some time with only 1 reason. Before I tell the reason I must say that Evelynn is about 10.000 years old. And she's a succubus demon that is pure evil >_> After she charmed her targets, the only form of pleasure she feels is to inflict so much pain onto others that they just die. And she does that by simply scratching the skin to a point they bleed to death. Or all sorts of pain games hahaha... (I am not even kidding......) This explains all the visuals in the game. At first the song is normal. Then you hear her suddenly talk inside of your head like "Listen to your brain, go... Go stupid go dumb go stupid".. That part is where the visuals (and Evelynn) change. She shows herself more and you even see her demon form through the fire. If you ever consider simping for Evelynn, think again XD.... There's a channel called "Just Another Nobody" that put all the voicelines of champions in an order of a story.

Quick run down... Starting with Pentakill, League of Legends garnered fans that are into music... They did captured KPop fans as well... And at the time most honored players are in S. Korea and that is why K/DA has such a large fan base, sales and well... More animations to come

Riot Games doesn't miss on their music/cinematic content. As far as League characters as musical artists go, you have covered all but two. Namely Seraphine, who put out some indie styled songs/covers, and the often overlooked DJ Sona, who has the EDM tracks. DJ Sona doesn't have any vocals because canonically the character is mute. Their seasonal cinamatics and songs they annually release for Worlds (the League E-sports Tournament) are also all bangers. However, it may suprise you to know that this extends beyond League of Legends and into their other IP Valorant as well. So far it has two great songs out being Die For You and Fire Again.

It is a well known joke that Riot Games could easily drop some singles and top charts. As some1 that plays the game for more than 10 years, their music production is really great. Btw, you should check the older login screen intros of characters. Most notable are "Here comes Vi" and "Get Jinxed", while my personal recommendation is the mashup of these two from the respective artists in Nicki Taylor's YT channel.

Two of my MUST WATCH fav music videos for League of Legends is 'Rise' and of course ENEMY by Imagine Dragons (which gives a great view of Arcane) both with 100M + views. Also just want to shoutout that the songs featuring in Arcane episode's is BOMB, you should do a reaction video watching each episode because the music for that is a great stand alone album that i listen to at work ALL THE TIME.

k/da has three songs as a grup(pop-star, more, baddest) and three solo songs, one for every memeber exept akali (villain, drum go dum, I'll show you). This three songs have no music video but villain concept video is just cgi artist proving their worth. Each of the three song express one aspect of the caracter. Villain is the depraved nature of evelyn, drum ´go dum is the dancing of kai'sa (worst video of all, but not because is bad) and I'll show you is the succes pain of ahri. League of leagends made a lot of songs. Most people would recomend pentakill because it has 3 full albums of awsome songs and you can see a few wortd building videos of the pentakill universe in the LOL' music chanel that they made for their last album. And there are other companies that have tried to make similar things but they couldn´t get the same success.

This video was basically a massive flex by Riot. They knew the visuals looked good, and knew the song was a banger, but the entire thing is mostly a tech demo for an animation team. Its got everything, Human form, smoke physics, fire physics, detailed objects.

They tend to use the term "concept video" to say it is made to convey a feeling or idea, as opposed to other types of videos that are supposed to tell a story. It's not that it is an unfinished video, more that it is made with a different goal than other types of videos.

Riot Games has a short video called "Dev Doodles: KDA" where they're talking about the process a bit.

There are 2 more K/DA songs, but there are a ton of other songs that are by League of Legends. They make a song for the start of each season and for every worlds tournament. My personal favorites are The Call (which has the most amazing animation I’ve seen in addition to being a superb song) and Awaken. Most people have Rise or Legends Never Die as their favorite though.

Misc details in the Villain video: You never see Evelynn's full face in the light. At most you get glowing eyes, up til the very end shot. The color scheme is notable in that it shifts through the colors of the bisexual flag (pink, blue, purple). Evelynn is a sex demon who doesn't have any reason for a sexual preference. She'll take whoever she can lure in. While the main singer for Evelynn is Madison Beer (who voices her in the main K/DA videos), it has supplementary vocals by Kim Petras, an MtF trans, further pushing Evelynn's gender fluidity. The wasteland that she walks through with all the spikes coming out of the ground - those spikes are her fingers, with the claws, and the bejeweled variant that's on her middle finger. A lot of people seem to miss that. It might remind you of the scene in Pop Stars where Evelynn drives up the legs of a giant version of herself. Saying that it's a "concept" video does not mean it's not a 'real' video. In this case, it's a video built on a conceptual idea, heavily exploring Evelynn's character and personality and sexuality, rather than being a "mere" music video designed solely for the song itself.

There's actually a running joke for RIOT. People would comment like " I can't believe they made LOL game for this music video " or along the lines of " I can't believe a music company made a game to promote their music! "

So @7:43 I dont know if u mean what or how. But The Songs ( K/DA - Pentakill- True Damage) are just there to sell their skins. BUT K/DA only came reality because their Netflix Show Arcane got delayed. So They made K/DA and had another big succes.

In my personal opinion, I think KDA was started and does so well bc Riot makes a ton of fucking money, and has creative and smart people that work there that dont settle. Its why they get some of the best artists to create amazing splash art for skins and champions. Work with amazingly talented musical artist. Developing more video games. And ofcourse there was that little show they made called Arcane. its not just about the money, many game companies have that. But they also have ambition, smart, and creative people that pull the strings.
