6:13. . When this was recorded, Robert Plant was in his *SIXTIES* . . How many young guys could HIT that note? How many young guys could have that much POWER in the note? How many young guys could *HOLD THAT NOTE FOR THAT TIME LENGTH* ? Incredible!!

Fun Fact: that was JASON Bonham on the drums. The significance of that is Zeppelin's drummer JOHN Bonham (aka Bonzo) died in 1980 tragically and unexpectedly in his sleep of asphyxiation of vomit due to acute alcohol intoxication. The tragedy was the end of Led Zeppelin.😞 Point is, John Bonham's son Jason was only 10y/o when his father passed. This performance was 27 yrs after the great John Bonham's death. It was such a beautiful thing to see his son take his place for this reunion, and even better... he's playing on his father's drum set!!!🥰 Of note: After the passing of John Bonham, the remaining members decided they could not go on with anyone else on drums... they said it just wouldn't be Zeppelin anymore. The magic was between the 4 four of them and no one could take his place. Turns out, almost 3 decades later... his son Jason was the one person who could take his father's place. Beautiful all the way around!! Great reaction and keep going with Led Zeppelin, you will get a whole new appreciation for music and quite a lesson on how art inspires art. Zeppelin are masters at honoring their musical idols and creating a whole new sound for us to enjoy. And funny enough... their music went on to inspire generations after them. Hell, Hip-Hop and Rap artists are still sampling Led Zeppelin and many other rock artists from the 70's and 80's. Good music is good music no matter the decade. 20 million requests for 18,000 cheering seats, Dig it !! Saw them in 1975 Long Beach Arena. My woman (19) and I (25) just happened to hitchhike from north Indiana to Southern California that Summer and got to see Led Zep for $10.50 per ticket and a 3 1/2 hour thundering concert. I have had a blessed rockin' life. And yes, part of Kashmir was in soundtrack for Godzilla. .I think it ran during the credits dude. Peace .

Back in 1975 I saw them Earl’s Court which was at the time London biggest stadium. They did 5 shows and sold out all 85,000 tickets basically instantly. I slept outside with my 3 friends for 4 days. For context, NO ACT EVER at the time had managed to sell out Earl’s Court twice, let alone 5 times. To this day, the best concert I ever saw. The greatest band ever.

I would highly recommend starting from the first song on their first album and just keep going from there. Their catalogue is extremely diverse, no two songs sound alike. They do many different styles as well. Four genius musicians making real music by actually playing real instruments, no auto tune or computer stuff. Don't miss out on Zeppelin, there is nobody like them. Greatest band ever!! ✌️

Getting a ticket for this one off reunion concert was like winning the lottery. There were 20 MILLION applications for tickets after it was announced. They hadn’t played together for over 25 years since the death of drummer John Bonham. The drummer on this event is Jason Bonham, his son. Plant, Page and Jones were pushing 70 here. Amazing performance for nearly 70 year olds who hadn’t played together for decades

This was 27 years after they last toured, they have been broken up since 1980, when John Bonham died, his son took over on drums and kicked ass. These guys were in their sixties for this reunion and after 27 years of not playing together for a full concert, they were unreal. At that age they are still better then any band around.

Zeppelin originally had this on their Physical Grafitti album released in February 1975. This tune has had so much radio airplay over the decades...many more years than you've been alive. This live performance was part of the Celebration Day fund raising concert December 12, 2007.

Cliff, it was fun watching this with you. I'm a 70 yo dude that did get to see them live ib 74,i think, was too fucked up to remember. Zepplin was a band that was better live than studio. The memories flood back. Thanks for sending me back to a time when music was magic.

Led Zeppelin has been my absolute favorite musical act since the mid seventies. Ren is now vying for the top spot. This is from their reunion show in 2007 when they had Jason Bonham, son of the original drummer, John, fill in. They went out sounding brilliant. Members of the Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Metallica, Foo Fighters and more were in the audience that night. Tickets were sold online and they had over 20 million requests for tickets. Richard Branson offered them 800 million dollars to tour. They didn't. *Edit: interestingly, I just saw on Instagram that it was this date in '98 that Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page was in New York recording with Puff Daddy their "Kashmir" retake, "Come With Me" for the Godzilla soundtrack.

I love seeing a persons eyes open for the first time. LED Zeppelin has been my favorite band since I was 12. I’m 67 now and still love them and don’t ever get tired of listening to them. Now you understand why so many older people are stuck in the 70’s. It was the most wondrous time to be a teenager.

Robert Plan was and is a legend. He made young women dream when he was with LZ. Today, he makes beautiful music with Allison Kraus; I admire him so much for taking on something new at his age. I'm also a fan of Greta Van Fleet, often compared to LZ, and would absolutely love hearing them perform Kashmir.

Came across your reaction video for my generations music, the greatest music of all time. Through Lauren I have become a HipHop fan, love 50 (and Em, Jadakiss). Currently selling my Rolling Stones tickets and putting the money toward a possible Em tour now that he is putting out a new album, even if he only tours overseas. If Lauren is well enough to travel, we will be there.

FYI: Zeppelin is the 7th best selling artists on the planet of all time ... the list is as follows Beatles, Elvis, Michael Jackson, Elton John, Queen, Madonna . . . . . Led Zeppelin.

Bought my first Led Zeppelin album in 1973 at 13 years old. One of my older brothers (no longer living at home) already had the first 3. They became my fav band then and remain my fav rock band of all time. The band formed in 1968 under the name of The New Yardbirds under the leadership of the lead guitarist, Jimmy Page, formerly a member of The Yardbirds with Eric Clapton. Jimmy brought with him, John Paul Jones on bass & keyboards. They had been exposed to Robert Plant, singer who was friends with John Bonham, drummer. Both Robert & John were still in their teens. Once playing together, all four instantly knew they had something very very special. All 4, strongly influenced by early blues as well as folk and other genres, set out creating innovative music mixing into a unique very rock & roll and very "hard rock" for the times. Once hearing them play, Keith Moon of The Who, told Jimmy...this is gonna go over like a lead balloon. Jimmy liked that, and so the band then became known as Led Zeppelin. The rest is now history. One of the leaders in making music not geared and driven towards making "single hit records" for the charts but rather instead making music for albums and concert tours. In doing so, they weren't bound by the @ 3+ minute needs of AM radio and hits but could create whatever they wanted lasting however long they felt they needed in a song. It revolutionized how rock music could be made and presented. The birth of FM radio eventually helped alot as stations became more and more open to playing music, especially late nights, that allowed us kids to experience long songs and sometimes whole album sides without the need for ads to be crammed in every 3-5 minutes. The band ended with the death of their incredible drummer, John Bonham, in 1980. So their catalog is from 1968-1980. Some music not released before 1980 has made it's way out. Surviving members have released their own music and collaborated together at different times. As told below by other posts, this was their final comeback concert as LZ with the son, Jason, of their original drummer performing with them. Please do more LZ, the greatest rock band of all times. No disrespect to other bands intended and there were many great and innovative ones including Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, The Who and obviously, The Beetles. But it was LZ that knocked The Beetles off the top of the album charts not too long before The Beetles final gig on the building top after which they announced their ending as a group. LZ went on to dominate the 70s. Please explore more LZ as their music is diverse and epic. They won't disappoint. Ty. Mark

Guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist keyboardist John Paul Jones were in their early 60s, vocalist Robert Plant was in his late 50s and drummer Jason Bonham (son of Zeppelin drummer John Bonham who passed away in 1980) was in his 40s.

There is no way to overstate the influence and power of Led Zeppelin. Their music was so much more then just hard rock. They did blues, folk, mystical legends stuff, epics, on top of good old fashioned rock n roll. But, they were always experimenting and trying new things wrapped up in a confection to please the audience. Many bands have tried to imitate them but, they were one dimensional and pretty much one style. They did not understand Zeppelin while hoping to be like them. Zeppelin was multi dimensional. They were also experienced musicians who not only knew their craft but, were the GOATs of their respective instrument and Plant has always been the GOAT for vocals - still.
