Checking out another new group today! This time we're reacting to the family metal band "Liliac" as they cover Dio's "Holy Diver"! I was incredibly impressed by this entire group of talented siblings - and especially drawn in by the vocals of the younger daughter, Melody. I am looking forward to checking out more of their work! Another fun fact is that Vinny Appice, drummer for Dio does know of them and loves them. Melody has done a couple things with Vinny's Sabbath Knights. Vinny gave them a previously unreleased version of The Last In Line for them to perform for the Dio cancer fund tribute which they were asked to do by Wendy Dio.

Welcome to Liliac! It’s been a treat to watch these guys grow and develop over that last few years since I discovered them. The three older siblings def stand out. The younger brothers are beginning to develop a solid stage presence of their own now. My favorite is Abigail. She’s fun to watch and typically living her best life on the drums. Great reaction to my favorite band. This is the cover that popped up on my Facebook feed about 19 months go that completely hooked me and I have devoured everything they have done since. They are great to see live as well (I’ve seen them live 3 times so far). Everything they do is awesome. Some favorite covers: Enter Sandman, The Last in Line, I Hate Myself for Loving You, Symphony of Destruction, Seven Nation Army. Some favorite originals (that have videos): Nothing, Mars (live), Dancing in the Dark, We are the Children, Sail Away. But you can pick anything they do - it is all awesome! I first came up on them looking for Black Sabbath times on KZfaq and watched them doing Crazy train on the pier in California, that's all it took for me! Like you I watched everything I could find on them! I've been like a teenage kid following thier favorite bands! And I'm 60!!!!! I sure hope these go far, they sure have something I don't see or hear in alot of other young bands! The Warning are ok, but they don't have the same emotional feel and draw, I do like Small Town Titian's, but just not as much as LILIAC!!! ANYWAY RO AND RH!!!!

A magical place called “Mars” live will show you they can do it live too. As for videos, the early ones are simple but as the editing skills have gotten better so have the videos. “Dear Father” (original) & “Seven Nation Army” (cover) are more professional looking but still done in house for reasonable amounts of money.

Welcome to Liliac (pronounced Lily- like the flower- ack). New sub. They are an independent band that wants to stay independent. Their curent ages are, Sam, lead guitar and video editor is 23, Aby, drummer is 22, Melody, lead vocals and in earlier videos bass guitar is 20, Ethan, bass guitar and in earlier videos rythmn guitar is 16 and Justin on keys is 14. Their covers are great but their original music is amazing.

Great reaction. Glad you've joined the Liliac "Crazy Train". FYI Liliac love reactors and often post a link to reaction videos on their FB fan page. You do not need to flip or overlay, their videos are entirely theirs. There is no label sitting behind them.

The song that got me "Fanged" which is what there fans are called was there cover of "Dio's " Rainbow In The Dark " My I recommend a couple of their Originals: "Dancing In The Dark " "Mystery " which was filmed in front of the "Georgia Guidestones " or their song "Nothing". You may want to go Originals then covers back and forth between the 2. If you want to see something really recent that would be their cover of "Seventh Nation Army " (White Stripes). So how did you hear or come across them?

As a new subscriber I'm so glad you just discovered this family band. Their covers of Dio, Metalica, Megadeth are all awesome. But you should really try their originals "Nothing", "Dancing in the dark", "Crazy Nights" and their ballad "Sail away". I'm glad I caught this before I start my day going towards Dallas from Idaho. Welcome to the World of Lil-e-ac! It's Romanian for Bat. They Busked on the Santa Monica pier for 5 years. Then was on the World's Best show on CBS. That's when I first saw them doing Rainbow in the Dark. Justin was 10. Then they came out with their first EP Chain of Thorns. Their father organized their first tour off that, which is crazy, and that location was in New England area when visiting a friend while on tour. So what does an independent Vamp Metal family band do when they see thus church...make a music video! Lol MeloDia found DIO at 15 and DIO is her main influence. Check out Mars Live from the tour I metchoned. They are evolving now, but I like people to see them from the beginning. To get the busking experience, check out Crazy Train. Melody sounds more like Ronnie James Dio than Ronnie James Dio does! :P Seriously, they're a very talented bunch. They've have their own songs but they have done some other great covers like Metallica's Master Of Puppets, Dio's Rainbow In The Dark, and Ozzy Osbourne/Lita Ford's Close My Eyes Forever.

Yep, you really should check out more by Liliac (pronounced "lily ack" which means "bat" in Romanian). They are a 5 member band of siblings ranging in age from 14 to 23 now (I think) whose dad and mom are originally from Transylvania. How cool is that? A band of vampires. lol You can't really go wrong with any of their videos. A couple personal favorites are "Crazy Train (official cover music video)" from when they used to busk at the Santa Monica Pier, The Last In Line (Dio Cancer Fund Tribute)" which once again really highlights Melody's singing influence from Ronnie James Dio, "Piece Of My Heart (live cover in Cumming, GA)", "Master of Puppets (official cover music video) and originals " Mars (live in Cummings, GA)" and "Sail Away (official music video)" which is like an old school rock ballad. As they'd say, "Rock On And Rock Hard!" 😁

@@qmnnvrdyz8965 Its primary meaning is actually the Lilac flower, but it has a secondary meaning of bat. No, it does NOT mean vampire bat. I've spent the last 4 or 5 years correcting every single comment that I saw in which someone said it means vampire bat. And at some point, since people kept wanting to argue with me, I asked my Romanian wife and her Romanian sister whether I was mistaken or not. No, I was not mistaken. Both of those Romanians confirmed that it does NOT mean vampire bat (not that I needed to ask since I'm fluent in the language, but I asked anyway just to shut up those who doubted my knowledge because I'm an American). Hope that helps.

Here is an even earlier video with Melody (the singer) playing bass and Ethan on guitar with his brother Sam. Ethan can jam a guitar quite well but to give Melody the reigns to be truly remarkable with her stage presence and voice they moved Ethan to Bass. You need to see this. It's an Iron Maiden song, the Trooper. A hard song that they completely ROCK !!!!

LILIAC pronounced lil ee ack , is a highly professional family band who have been performing at this level of competence since Justin the youngest was 7 and the 3 eldest were performing way back when Melody was 11yrs old . They are fiercely independent and welcome reactors to their music and don't hit you with copyright issues so there's no need to mask their videos . They are managed by their father known as PAPA LILIAC who hales from the Transylvania area of Romania LILIAC means Bat in Romanian and they have millions of fans known as Fangs worldwide . They all play multiple instruments and all contribute to making fangtastic music videos for as you have observed very little money , they mostly record their tribute covers in their basement at home in Georgia USA and make their original song videos on location some of these are movie quality and are all produced by family and freinds . It's interesting your comment regarding the church venue as they are a close-knit wholesome religious family and are all genuinely nice individuals . Their parents are both Romanian. Liliac is Romanian for bat and they call their music Vamp Metal. Their fans are known as Fangs.

The band Liliac ( Lilly-ack ) ROCKS! They have 3 cover LPs and 2 Original LPs ( Chain of Thorns and Queen Of Hearts ) and right now are currently working on their 3rd Original plus they just ended their tour in August but are back on the road again playing in Minnesota with Tom Kiefer ( Cinderella ) and Winger. Their parents are from Romania, the Father Papa Liliac lived an hour away from Draculas Castle and Liliac means Bat or in their case Vampire Bat!

It doesn't mean vampire bat actually, just Lilac the flower, and bat, but not vampire bat. And since Dracula is a work of fiction, I think you meant that their dad is from an area about an hour from the castle of Vlad Tepes, better known as Vlad the Impaler. It's a nice castle; you should check it out sometime.

liliac ( lilly ack) means bat in romanian, their dad is from transylvania , they call their style vampmetal. best covers to me are, master of puppets and 7 nations armies. best originals to me are sailaway, mars( live cummings ga), dear father. you cant go wrong with anything they play. their fans are called fangs because once bitten by their music you are hooked. they are independant and do everything in house, even mom handles merch. dad films and produces. sam guitar player edits the videos. melody writes the lyrics and paints. abby drums does all the graphics for the shirts.

I like this cover as well, because Ethan got to show that he is very talented as well. With Sam such a super guitar player, Ethan actually got a chance to shine before he switched to Bass. We always talk about the 3 older siblings, but Ethan was very talented at a very young age, but naturally is in Sam's Shadow

Great reaction. These kids are amazing. Their father is a music producer. As they were born he got them lessons for their instrument. They also do covers of Ozzy crazy train Joan Jett Hate myself for loving you Metallica enter Sandman Janis Joplin Megadeth. And a bunch of original music that’s pretty good too. I would recommend any of their covers cause they’re really good. You have been officially fanged. That’s what they like to call their fans

Long time Fang here.. been a fan of theirs sense the pier days. I’ve watched as they have grown. Melody is a powerhouse Sam is multi talented does all the editing for their videos. Two songs for you and to react to that has been overlooked .. wild thing.. cover. when they switched and became Liliac. 2nd, Heaven and Hell by Black Sabbath (RJD) cover. Their latest release was a remake of "Seven Nation Army" by White Stripes. They put a bit of a metal spin on it, and it is much fuller sounding than the original (5 piece band verses a 2 piece band). Plus they have a different look. It is well worth the time to check it out.

@@cristyrawks6325 That's good to hear. I'm also hardly ever on here anymore myself. We're doing okay. I lost my teaching job at the end of May. After 10 years they let me go. But, God provided another job teaching middle school Math (even though I taught science for 10 years), so that was a blessing. What's even cooler is that it's the same school I attended back in middle school (two of my football coaches are still there after all these years, which blew my mind), so I have really enjoyed it so far. Granted, it has been quite an adjustment switching to Math, but I'll get it figured out. Thank you for responding.

It's pronounced lilly-ack. Liliac is Romanian for Bat or Blood Bat. There mom and dad are from Romania. There dad lived close to Dracula's Castle.

Actually it means Lilac, the flower, and also bat. It does NOT mean "blood bat." Also, since Dracula is a fictional character and not real, I think you meant that their parents grew up close to the castle of Vlad Tepes, better known as Vlad the Impaler. Have a good one.
