This was my song to be played at my funeral for my son . My son passed away Christmas 2019 . My son played this on his guitar for me all the time I miss my son so much . Peace you two keep rocking

I'm sorry for your loss, truly... My brother passed on 12/04/2019 he was 18 days shy of what would have been his 55th birthday. I miss him every day

This was my mother and I song. When I was a kid she would sing this song to me at bedtime. She passed away Christmas night in 2017. Since her passing I can't hold back the tears everytime I hear Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Tears came out during this reaction. Rest In Paradise, Mom

*Shinedown - "Simple Man". It's a cover of this song but the best cover ever. Also, the guitarist for this song is Jasin Todd. He is married to Melody Van Zant. Melody is the daughter of the singer of Lynyrd Skynyrd. So there's a connection there beyond just covering it because they liked it. I hope you guys check it out*
