I live in a town of 14,000 and in the last 15 years I know 3 children and maybe a 4th (never heard if it was an accident or abuse), they claimed the infant was dropped and I just not buying. I was abused as a child and I believe it makes or souls more empathetic to others and why we feel their pain, I remember wishing I was never born. People are sick hurting children.

This was my first time watching this video. Heartbreaking. I was abused and neglected as a child by my mother. You did the right thing for your friend. My sister and I wished someone would help us, but no one ever did. Just by the grace of God, we survived my mother's rage. Anytime anyone sees or suspects abuse they must do whatever they can to stop it. Because what you see on the surface is 10 times worse behind closed doors.

My parents were foster parents to at least a dozen different kids over the years & some of them came to us just exactly like your friend. Cigarette burns & bruises galore. My cousin was beaten regularly by his father. He would look at his teachers with pleading black eyes and bruises and they did nothing. This was in the 1970s. I sure hope teachers intervene nowadays.

This is a very real reaction, about a very real reality, for very real children. Some of whom do not get to grow up to be adults. Others who grow up to carry the scars and secrets and traumas into adulthood. It makes sense that it will be a difficult song to listen to. I'd worry about anyone who is not moved by it. For the pain is real. And the realities of abuse and secrecy and helplessness and risk are real, too. On a practical note: if you are an adult who suspects a child is being maltreated. Speak up. Make a call. Be a voice. Teach children that they should not keep these kinds of secrets. About themselves. About others. Be a safe person to tell to. You may save a life. More than one.

This actually happened to Martina's niece, Martina beat her little girl to death, the headstone that's shown is the actual headstone of the little girl. I was born in 1958, grew up in the 60's and 70's, back then it was almost normal to see bruises on kids, the only time CPS actually stepped in was if you were beaten so badly you ended up in either the hospital or morgue. It was considered a family situation. The little boy was an angel guiding her to heaven with other children that had died from child abuse. This was a hard one to watch, I've seen other reactions to it, and they were all pretty much reacting like you did.

I know I'm not God, because it's not my place to judge & punish the evils of humanity, since that's only His job anyway. Yet, I often wonder if the only way for these vicious acts of cruelty to completely stop it from constantly occurring over & over again, is that evil people who act beyond selfish enough to commit such violence towards the defenseless & voiceless, should be sorely visited by divine intervention itself, like they should be. When things like this happen, I question God about why He can't just wipe all wickedness off the face of this Earth now, since it'd be so easy for Him. & Then I take great faith & comfort in knowing that there truly is an afterlife, & the fact that all abused children, adults & even animals alike, are not gonna be gone forever from those that deeply love & miss them. I reassure everyone here if this novel comment on this video ever becomes a conversation thread, don't ever give up on the hope of being made fully whole again. Because we will of course once more see them all when that time comes. I take great comfort in knowing that although all types of abusers & murderers are not always temporally caught & fully punished for their crimes, God will handle all of that once the world comes to an actual halt. He will justly punish those accordingly that stand guilty of these sinful acts before Him in the last days. Yes, the amount of worldly sin is agonizing & infuriating, but it will only last until after Christ comes again🙏🙏🧔 Take heed & remember this quote; "Complete world Peace will never abound so long as mortal man is in charge."
