Click on subtitles. Nemophila have them on most of their videos. From your psychology side they have a great song called Life which is very inspirational for the band. No screaming and remembering to press subtitles.🤘

Nemophila is currently my favourite band. Five stellar musicians with immense talent, mutual respect and a great sense of humour too (see some of their video covers for the humour). They can do everything from pop through emotional ballads, hard rock, punk to the hardest metal you could want. They seem to put 100% into everything they do and have great fun while they do it. The singer, Mayu-san, and the drummer, Tamu-san have both had babies since the band formed and somehow they manage to be moms and rock stars simultaneously. Talk about doing the impossible. I doubt there will ever be a male rocker who can approach that level of badass.

I recommand you "Adabana" for a little quieter (but still heavy) and refined song, and "Life" for the emotional ballad (with no scream, I swear). Screaming and growling wasn't my thing a few years ago but I'm getting used to and love it ... sometimes, depending on the bands. The fact that Mayu is so versatile (you'll see) helped a lot.

Yes. Adabana is definitely a good choice. It shows more than every other of their songs to see the tricky and interesting songwriting of their music. Highly recommanded.

I’m not much for metal these days and don’t like the screaming but for some reason I really like Nemophila. They aren’t this hardcore screaming metal all the time and have a broadening catalog and there’s something special about them. If you enjoy Rock more than metal, you’re very close to discovering, to me, the best rock band on planet earth 🌍BAND-MAID. Check out “Domination” - official live video Prepare to have your life changed and improved by the Maids!!! Take care and rock on 🤘🏼🔥🎸🎼🥁🎤😀✌🏼

*Nemophila:* Here are their set up for live and certain music videos. *A)* Murata Tamu - Drums / Vocals *B)* Haragushi-san - Bass / Vocals *C)* Saki - Guitarist / Vocals *D)* Hazuki - Guitarist / Vocals *E)* Mayu - Vocals *A* *B* *C* *D* *E* The only member of this band that speaks English (not fluently) is guitarist Saki. When Mayu sings English. Saki trains Mayu how to pronounce the words since she doesn't understand English words. Both Murata (2) & Mayu (1) are married & have children. I personally don't care for "screaming" vocals myself but for Mayu I give her an exception since I know, by watching other original songs *(Life, AnotherStory {unreleased ballad}, Style, Hypnosis)* plus their covers *(Journey - Separate Ways, Kiss - Detroit Rock City, X Japan - Kurenai, The Minions - Banana Song)* are also outstanding. Just like what you did. Us fans who love this band got used to Mayu's now trademark of *"Growling & Screaming"* cause we know her clean vocals (English / Japanese) are lovely with her raspy tones. And because they have fun cause they're smiling that makes us smile has we have fun with them. But don't stop with just one song & go away. Nemophila will grow on you. Since their original songs *DO NOT SOUND THE SAME LIKE THE LAST ONE.* But they all have that unmistakable Nemophila sound. Wish I knew what it is but it's there.

@@kevinthetruckdriver353 Hi Kevin! Yah! I know! For someone trained in psychology, she doesn't want to acknowledge any information that would challenge her preconceptions. I'm wondering how she could help others with their problems, when she's so resistant to new concepts. Gestalt Psychology is based on: "The Whole is greater than the sum of it's parts". She has seen one side of Nemophila and made an assumption without delving further. As you pointed out, Nemophila is a multi-faceted band. When I first heard "Life", it opened up my life! I'm grateful to have seen Nemophila twice, in LA and Webster, Texas. I hope I have the opportunity to see them in the future; and I hope that you, Kevin, also see them, live! Best Wishes! Russ

The Rock and Metal scene in Japan has a small but loyal following. Both Nemophila and Band-Maid(all women Rock group that would probablybe more to your liking) have a bigger overseas following than domestic. As for Nemophila, they have been doing things the way they want from the beginning, and that's not an easy feat. Their "ace in the hole" is that both guitarist and the drummer were well respected before the band. The singer and bassist were in previous bands that never gained much traction but they have proved they have the skills to stand on a stage with three of Japan's best.

Hi Daft! You make great points! Saki has been playing professionally since 2009; Tamu since 2012. Since the formation of Nemophila, Hara-chan, Hazuki, and Mayu have demonstrated their song writing talents. Nemophila has allowed all 5 of them to bloom!
@Ephem13
@Ephem13 Жыл бұрын
@Russ Murphy Good point on song writing. Hazuki was known for being precise and being able to fit any style. It wasn't until now that we got to see her with artistic expression via writing. Saki said no one writes the drums farther than a basic outline (other than Life because it was a surprise for Tamu), and solos are 100% on the person doing the solo. To put it simply, Hazuki gets a little bit crazier every few months now. The dive bombs in Seize The Fate are so out of character for what she has always been known for. I had to double take when I realized it wasn't Saki doing them.
@Russ.Murphy
@Russ.Murphy Жыл бұрын
@@Ephem13 Hi Daft! Nemophila has allowed all their members to expand their creativity. Hazuki composed the music to "Now I Here" and Saki the lyrics. I'm not sure which one of them experienced those profound feelings of loneliness. I hope none of them! Everything comes back to "Life"! It's basically become the band's anthem! Even more than a year after recording it, Mayu sometimes breaks out crying while singing it. Tamu's husband has recorded a disco / synth version of the song. It's posted on Tamu's Muratatam KZfaq channel. Mayu posted a version of "Life", where it was just her singing and playing piano, but I can't find it anymore.
@Russ.Murphy
@Russ.Murphy Жыл бұрын
Hi Rosalie! As Yakidin said, you really need to check out the song, "Life"! Mayu, the singer, wrote the lyrics. In the video, you will notice she is singing to the drummer, Tamu Murata. The band members were welcoming Tamu back into the band, after her convalescence, giving birth to her first child. Also during this time, Hazuki's birthday was on the day of the performance. Saki bought her a birthday cake, and they celebrated in the green room back stage. English subtitles are available; and I suggest you learn the lyrics! They are empowering! There's a lot more to Nemophila than just the music! While you're at it, you should check out, "Game Over". It's about a failed relationship. And, "Now I Here!" It's about the fear of entering a relationship, and gaining the courage to confront that fear, and overcome it.

Nice reaction, I thought that I had already subbed during one of the other videos but that’s ok. You got me now right! These ladies are so talented and have only been together for a few years. I think this video is a lot like Jinjer’s “Pisces” in that there is a huge shock factor. I think if there was such a thing as a Banshee it would sound like her screams on this song.🤘🏻🤘🏻 I agree that you need to react to their song “Life”, it is beautiful and emotional and you will love it I believe. They have other songs without the harsh vocals as well, plus they have done covers of some classic rock and metal songs that are great. Cheers from West Texas 😎🤘🏻

NEMOPHILA are musically quite versatile. DISSENTION is the song that gets everyone’s attention, but all their other songs sound quite different. MAYU is really a Pop/Rock singer at heart. To hear a totally different side of the band, listen to LIFE, a ballad about motherhood (two of the ladies are mothers), the unlimited potential of youth, and passing the torch on to a new generation (with zero screams.) Look for a video with lyrics translation. BTW, they will be touring the US in March.

The vocalist Mayu can sing anything, any genres so great! Metal, classic rock, k pop , kawaii type j pop, rap, ballads. I can image she can sing even Japanese enka tunes well. I feel pitch of japanese women voice tend to higher than western women's voice. so Mayu's screaming sounds like big wild cats or pumas do. I love this her own style so much!

(Pardon any overlap with other comments) This is one of the bands to watch, no question. They just started in 2019 and are blowing up fast. As you can see from the gang vocals, they don't take themselves too seriously-Hazuki even winks. They almost seem to be enjoying a private joke, that goes "Hi, we're a bunch of cute, fun girls and we are going to rip your face off, and you are going to like it.” Nemophil-a (NOT “Nemophil-i-a) were founded in 2019. They are a supergroup composed of: ex-Mary's Blood guitarist Saki ex-Lipstick vocalist Mayu ex-Disqualia guitarist Hazuki (also plays with Lisa-X) ex-Hölderlins bassist Haraguchi-san, and ex-Soramimi drummer Murata Tamu Initially, they were just a side project, co-organized by Mayu with some help from Saki, largely to keep busy in the early days of the pandemic. They started by posting metal covers of well-known rock, pop and metal songs. Then they began posting originals, starting with “Oiran” kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m9-SZbGltd3HqJc.html The viral reaction seems to have convinced them they were onto something potentially big, so they’ve been putting a lot more work into it, including some successful live-streams and an appearance at the annual Japanese female rock festival NAONのYAON. They tend toward hard and heavy, but also do ballads and some pop covers. Drummer Murata Tamu took time off to give birth to her son, and on her return, the rest of the bandmembers gave her a welcome back that resulted in an extremely moving moment captured on live stream: “Life” kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fqyeeLyZx6uloZs.html After Oiran, others to check include "Dissension", which will fry whatever is left of your circuits: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aJyRgNiSzd7eaJc.html and “Raitei”, which means “Thunder” in Japanese, and yes, they bring the thunder: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/os5dl7l9sLaXYWg.html More recent drops that showcase their intensity and versatility: “Adabana” kzfaq.info/get/bejne/d96JnLKo2Nuap4k.html “Style” kzfaq.info/get/bejne/d9aYaKqAs5zWgJc.html (written by their bassist, Haraguchi-san) “Seize the Fate” kzfaq.info/get/bejne/atqgmq-qyNG6iZs.html Saki is the only one who had been with a breakout band before (Mary’s Blood); Hazuki and Murata-tamu are also considered elite musicians and have worked with a lot of other top artists. Hara-san is the youngest but is clearly a great talent and has been developing in front of our eyes. She has already written several songs for the group. And of course Mayu is quickly establishing herself as a great metal vocalist. Nemophila’s youtube channel: kzfaq.info/love/voAeGZoC8giXP59NOZABIAvideos

My introduction to Nemophila was from their cover of Iron Maiden's Aces High. I have been an Iron Maiden fan for about 40 years now and I can honestly say that Nemophila knocked that cover out of the park, especially Mayu with the vocals. To be honest, I was worried beforehand. From watching other Japanese female bands I knew that the instruments would be fantastic, but I was very worried about the vocals. Fortunately Mayu has the most natural and gritty rock voice of any female Japanese vocalist I have heard before or since. She was born to sing rock. I became an instant fan of Nemophila. This mv of Dissension was not the best choice for someone who is iffy on harsh vocals. Mayu probably uses harsh vocals on this song as much or more than any other Nemophila song, but this is also an angry song so it makes sense. In my opinion her harsh vocals are way overproduced in this video. There is a video of them performing Dissension live which I believe is much better. Her harsh vocals are impressive but also easier to understand. Mayu's high banshee type screams is rare. My favorite women who use harsh vocals, like Tatiana Shmayluk of Jinjer, Alissa White-Gluz of Arch Enemy and Fernanda Lira of Crypta, are lower in their harsh vocals which makes it easier to understand. I am now use to Mayu's harsh vocals and enjoy them, especially live. I will be seeing Nemophila live next much and I am very much looking forward to it. I will add to the recommendations for the song Life. Dissension is on one end of the spectrum for Nemophila, while Life is on the other end. The music video for Life was filmed right after the drummer, Tamu Murata, returned from a maternity leave. In addition Hazuki, one of the guitarists, was celebrating a birthday. This gave a song called Life some extra meaning to the band and it shows in the video. I still get a little misty eyed when I watch. Please give Life a watch, whether for a reaction or not, before your final verdict on Mayu and Nemophila -- kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fqyeeLyZx6uloZs.html

lovely reaction by the way, and honest nonetheless. If someone would have told me 2 years ago that I will be fully invested in the Japanese metal scene, I would have declared that person as mentally ill and recommended professional help, why not yours))) Howeve, Nemophila is my all-time favorite band, and if you allow yourself some time and get involved a little in their music you will find out how versatile they are, and how much more they can bring to the table. Now, as not a native speaker, you know better than me that there is a massive difference between the connotation and the denotation when translating and delivering one's thoughts from another language. These ladies deliver in Japanese and English simultaneously, so the translation comes literally rather than meaningfully. I enjoyed your reaction...

Glad you care enough to explain your thoughts with therapy and especially the need for everyone to realize when watching these or any videos and reaction videos that they are entertainment, not a form of individual therapy. I'm an old (and I mean this literally) metalhead in my heart. Rock, Hardrock and Metal have been always my favourite music genres. The only part of metal that I can't come to terms with is screaming. So I was right there with you when you stopped the video - and obviously would've made the same mistake you did, to judge too early. Actually this is a really catchy song performed by talented young musicians. Listening to the end, I found myself really liking it! Let me respond to your disclaimer you felt necessary to put out. I can see where this is coming from. But let me assure you, you have every right to be effected by what you experience watching these videos as everyone else of us. As you said, you're human after all. And nobody should carry a grudge against you when something makes you smile or laugh as well as something that moves you deeply and brings you to tears. Don't ban yourself on your emotions! And for your other statement: hey, this is an open YT channel where you comment on the background of personal experiences in life and your professional training. But you do that in generalizations. And it should be perceived as such. I hope noone takes your comments as sort of a free personal therapy. Everybody has to understand that therapy requires dealing with individual specifics and circumstances. And that is nothing you're doing here. Yes, one could derive a certain amount of uplifting feelings from your positive energy and bubbly personality. But that mustn't be seen as a substitut for a professional therapy shoud one be in need for it. It baffles me a bit that you felt you had to say that - I assume you had responses that made it necessary. Let's hope your message is properly received!💛💛💛

Nemophila and Lovebites are a little bit related as they both have former members of the band Destrose. Destrose was a pioneering all female Japanese band which never had commercial success and suffered from membership turn over (19 over the years), which spawned about a dozen bands and a handful of solo careers. Another Destrose related band is Lonesome_Blue which has gotten some attention lately (and also has much closer ties to Lovebites as they share some production crew). Nemophila compared to Lovebites can be heavier (like this song), much softer (like say Life), and less serious (their cover of the Minions Banana song).

@@BagoPorkRinds The reason I say that Lovebites and Lonesome_Blue are closer is for 3 reasons, first Haruna and Narumi (the Guitarist of Lonesome_Blue) and Miho (ex-Lovebites bassist) were all in Destrose at the same time; second Mao a composer/keyboardist/programmer has composed songs for both Lovebites and Lonesome_Blue as well as worked on there respective albums (yes Miyako writes ~50% of the Lovebites songs, but Mao is ~35%; Mao composed 90% of the Lonesome_Blue album); third Asami helped with the English lyrics for the Lonesome_Blue songs (and if I remember correctly worked with Maiko the Lonesome_blue singer). Though it should not be forgotten that Narumi and Hazuki were in Disqualia together which is another connection between Nemophila and Lonesome_Blue.

Songs like Sorai, Orian, Raitei & and song like Life is a beautiful ballad. Most of the songs are positive too. Then live are even better. Give it a go. The ones live at the Whiskey are fantastic ❤

Honestly that's an interesting perspective about the screamed vocals, coming from your background! If you're used to them I feel like it's easy to think people who don't like it just aren't into the style, and forget that maybe they're making different associations. I don't know if you're reacting to any more (sounds like you want a lot of variety!) but you might like to check out their song Revive sometime - it has English lyrics and subtitles (with a much better translation honestly) and I think as a therapist you'd be interested in the theme and how the harsh vocals play into it, it might even give you more of an appreciation for them! This song's pretty dark, and that one's the opposite in a lot of ways - and it's a bop

@@rosalieelliottofficial Cactustactics gave you a song to check out; and it's a great song, high energy, upbeat. "Life" is less harsh vocally speaking. "Life" deals with past strife, overcoming current hardships, and going forward achieving goals. There might be a whole lot more going on with the song, considering Tamu just brought a new life into the World. Just watch the video! If you can't figure out what's going on...Well I'm not a therapist. I'm just a seventy year old drummer with graduate work in Pharmacology and Toxicology.

 @Rosalie Reacts I tried replying to you with some info on the origin of "Life" and why it was written to give you some background when you react, but for whatever reason I can't reply so I hope you see this. No spoilers, so here's a couple links explaining the origin of the "Life" lyrics. This first video is Mayu talking about why she wrote it kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mL-IltR83tmoeqc.html This is the same video on the Nemophila and Show-Ya channels except it has been translated with embedded English subs. It is in 2 parts, this is part 1 with the conversation about "Life". A few things that might help understand the conversation; the woman she is with is Keiko Terada, frontwoman for the all female metal band Show-Ya that's been around since the '80s. They are rock 'n roll royalty in Japan. Keiko has been producing an annual festival called Naon no Yaon for over 20 years and its purpose is to promote and encourage girls in music. The festival is held at Hibiya Outdoor Arena in Tokyo with all-female performing artist. They also hold an Idol style audition for "Cute Girl" opening act who also gets some sort of contract/promotion. The audition they are talking about is when Mayu was in Lipstick, her band before Nemophila. Keiko confused bands when she says she first met Mayu when Nemophila auditioned. In the photo they show, Mayu has on Lipstick era makeup as well as a Lipstick t-shirt. Nemophila does play Naon but that is way later as showcase performers. So when Mayu says "Life" is based on her Naon experience, she's talking about Lipstick losing the audition and her watching the show as a spectator but still staying motivated to one day come back and sing on that stage. And of course she does end up realizing her dream when Nemophila gets to play Hibiya twice. This second video makes sense after watching the 1st. Mayu speaks on how special performing at Hibiya is for her kzfaq.info/get/bejne/lZ-ChZiIz9KUip8.html There are no spoilers so they can be watched before or after you react to "Life". Here is the 2nd part to the conversation kzfaq.info/get/bejne/asBzZcd8sqiuqas.html Enjoy!

Originally a side project , they decided the lineup was too good not to continue. And since they are all female, they wanted to name the band after a flower. This song has a higher percentage of harsh vocals than a lot of their songs. No, it's not a cover, 2 versions. A Japanese release and a US release version. Life has a lot more cleans, Raitei is my favorite, Style even has some rap. Their 2nd album was just released in December, the first single is the title track, Seize the Fate.

Band-maid will be much closer to what you are looking for. They are rock not metal and are probably the best rock band in the world. They have well over 120 songs including acoustic versions of their songs and songs that are acoustic only. Their latest song Influencer even has a little rapping in it. By the way the NEMOPHILA drummer has 2 very young children and the singer has also just had a baby. Band-maid are also quite wacky with one member believing that she is a pigeon.

Hi Stephen! Come on now! Do you really believe that Pigeon thinks she's a pigeon? Consider the maid costumes, the faux subservience, the quirky on-stage personalities; it's the act! @@Russ.Murphy I'm afraid I don't agree some of the most talented people are the most troubled like people who appear to be retarded but are amazingly good at one thing. I really do believe that they all have problems of varying degrees. Miku's father disappeared Misa had some kind of strange upbringing Saiki's relationship with her mother is described as fractious so that sounds like a lot of tension Kaname I have no idea about but she's quite obviously batshit crazy 😜 and although Akane seems normal the fact that she is able to be so comfortable with the rest of them leads me to believe that there must be something wrong with her as well. She is teaching Misa how to cook and Misa is teaching Akane the bass. They seem to spend a lot of time on line with each other but keep to themselves in person. Who does Kaname spend time with I don't know quite possibly nobody. She seems not just soly focused but obsessive about her song writing I wonder if she ever goes out. You know there are people in Japan who lock themselves in their bedrooms for years on end. I don't think their behaviour would be regarded as extreme in Japan. I'm sorry Russ but the evidence is in. They are nuts.

@@stephenchigwidden7504 All right Stephen! I really don't know all the if, ands, and buts about Band-Maid. In the early 70's, when Twisted Sister used to play after-hours clubs, all the guys in all the other bands used to show up to laugh. The entire band became millionaires. And, I assure you that Dee Snyder is very sane. I appreciate Band-Maids musicianship; but I'm not giving them MMPI tests. I'm not a Diagnostician! @@Russ.Murphy what a champion it's great when people think of others and make a difference. Anyway I don't think the girls actually have a mental illness problem but I do think that some of the strategies they have used to deal with stress and unhappiness have stayed with them into adulthood. All Kaname's songs have the lyrics done by Miku and the theme of picking yourself up and trying again repeats over and over. You know Miku recently came second in a national poker competition so she's definitely not stupid but she makes pigeon noises. By the way the song Hate was by Saiki. I don't know if she did music and lyrics but that song is hers. She was still a teenager when the band started and she was a bit of a brat. Misa suffered from terrible shyness and would drink whisky throughout the concerts and in some of the early love clips you can see that she has been drinking but it is as you say more of an act now she's much more confident and as far as I can tell just has a couple of beers now but she still drinks plenty. In an interview with a radio station sponsored by Sapporo beer she drank the guy under the table. In the photograph after the interview he looks like he's been propped up in the chair. She used to carry a hip flask but fortunately she has things much more under control but they all like to party. Miku says that when they complete something they celebrate by eating and drinking like pirates. Take it easy Russ.

@@stephenchigwidden7504 Thanks Stephen! As I've gotten on in the years, music is one of the few things bringing joy into my life. Over the past 36 years, American music has been turned into mediocre monotony. Every now and then, a spark appeared: The Foo Fighters in the late 90's, ColdPlay in the early 2000's, Shine Down in the 2010's. The spark appeared, but the engine didn't turn over! It is my hope, that the wave of Japanese Music will turn the engine, as the Beatles did in the mid 60's! New here (found you through your "Ren - Hi Ren" reaction...that guy...wow!) so I'm checking out some of your others. Japan is full to bursting to top shelf rock and metal bands, a ton of them with some completely kick-ass women. I'm a lot more about the music and the sound of the voice than the actual lyrics, so I'm iffy on what song to actually recommend, but for a more hard rock sound you should look up BAND-MAID. Those ladies are also all masters of their instrument and art (there appears to be a lot of old Rush fans in the BAND-MAID fandom, if that tells you anything). As for harsh vocals, they can take a while to grow on you. I've been listening to metal for 4 decades and I was slow to get into the harsh vocals myself. Bands that mix clean and harsh vocals eased me into it, especially when Opeth started getting more prog. Now I love it, I can hear and enjoy the artistry behind it, so I can say you'll probably get there. If you want to, of course! xD Anyways, enjoying these reactions of yours, as I am a huge music fan and endlessly fascinated with the human mind/psychology. What might be more interesting than the song lyrics from a therapist's point of view is the way some music fans will not tolerate any criticism of their favorite artists, and will act as if they are being personally attacked when they hear an opinion they disagree with. But if you're looking for Japanese songs with interesting lyrics, some songs by Chanmina or Shiina Ringo would give you more to discuss. Band-Maid's "Sayonakidori" is also interesting. @@rosalieelliottofficial Thanks for the response. I was really being cheeky to be honest. I hope I didn't come off as an unhinged defender. Anyway, Nemophila is actually an uplifting band, contrary to how the first song may appear. I'm sure their bio is all over the comments by now, but briefly; they were formed by the singer Mayu as a one off project for a show. She went to school with the bass player Haraguchi who in turn knew the drummer Tamu who knew the guitarist Saki who knew the other guitarist Hazuki. That's a rough chain of the formation. Each one of the ladies was already in a successful project at the time, but after having a great time rehearsing and in the performance, they decided to make it permanent. They may look young but they are very accomplished musicians. The drummer Tamu is on of the most sought after session drummers in Tokyo and has played project in almost every genre, including pop and jazz. On top of that she's a classically trained pianist and lectures as an advanced drumming instructor. One of the guitarist Saki is arguably the most respected female guitarist in the scene. The other guitarist Hazuki is not only a technical wizard, but she's also an extremely talented graphic artist. On top of being a phenomenal bassist, Haraguchi-san is also a great song writer. This kinda gives you an idea of the overall talent these ladies bring. But to circle back kind of to mental health. This band is going on 4 years together but have 40+ original videos on their page. Among those videos, there are studio sessions with the ladies doing live rehearsal of originals as well a covers of bands ranging from; Nickelback, Motley Crue, Journey, Skid Row, Iron Maiden, Pink, Linkin Park, Bon Jovi, Baby Metal. The variety alone gives you an idea of how versatile they are as musicians. The best part when watching them together in these live videos is the wonderful smiles and happy energy they give off. It's infectious and honestly feels like a dopamine injection. I've personally been a little down, but when I took some time out and watched a few videos and I was able to get out of my head and decompress. Now I'm a 50 y/o black male, and even though I have been into all kinds of music as well as being a guitar players from my teenage years, I'm not really what you would expect to be their demographic. I guess my whole point is; saying this band is special isn't all trite fan talk. These young ladies do have a true love and friendship with each other that flows into their music. It makes you feel good every time you see them perform together or witness their general interaction behind the scenes. They have a positive message of embracing life, mental well being, empowerment, and its all genuine. Mayu wrote a song called "Life" that encompasses that message and the song has a serendipitous origin. Almost as if this band was meant to be. Anyway, sorry for making this so long LOL. At least if you get some fierce defenders in the comments you'll have an idea of why. In any case, the band is worth exploring. Mayu's voice is wonderfully versatile and so is the bands sound. Every song in their 2 album catalogue is different yet each one amazes. It will especially stand out if you have a background in music and understand arrangement and theory because you get a deeper appreciation of what they are doing. OK I'm done. Hope you continue this Nemophila journey and enjoy. If you made it this far, thanks for enduring this babble!

I don't need a therapist. Just like I don't need a witch doctor or a psychic or a palm reader. That's my honest opinion.

Instrumentally, they're incredibly talented. I'm with you on the screeching, not liking that. Haru Nemuri does screaming right. She screams to accentuate certain lyrics and add passion to her song. It's a little difficult to find good live versions of her songs, but Narashite is probably my favorite. Rock n Roll Wa Shininai is really good, too and Shunka Ryougen has a awesome performance video for it as well.

Too much pausing and talking, its so easy to miss out many amazing transitions of some great songs, in my humble opinion , its better to give review after finished any song, so that would only do fair to the artists, thanks for the reaction, see you next time.
