One of my favorite songs from them, and maybe my favorite of the "E" songs, which is hard to say because the lyrics to the other two are amazing. The lyrics are really good here too. It's like a song that stepped right out of the 80s. My favorite things though are Miyako's piano intro, Asami's sort of smoky R&B vocals quality, the amazing background vocals (they don't really do it like this anywhere else), and the harmony between Miyako and Midori at the end of their solo. All of the "E" songs are truly amazing!

Miyako's beautiful piano intro was Rachmaninoff's "Moment Musicaux Op. 16 No. 4 in E Minor". One of the MVs that I really like is "Shadowmaker"

Midori has the best English skills, second is Asami, then Miho (her language skills are ok). Miyako's English is pretty basic, but she's taking some lessons with a private tutor. Haruna doesn't really speak it. IDK about Fami, if she has some skills then she don't really use it for now. And YES, Miyako plays drums and bass good enough to record full songs on her own. She also sings very well, and has a voice of an angel (there is a short clip on YT of her singing solo). She did backing vocals in all of her former bands. Honestly this woman can do it all. If she only wanted, she could make solo album all by herself - write songs, play every instrument needed (drums, bass, guitar, piano or keyboard), sing vocals, record and master it in her home studio. ALL of it. And it would be really good quality.

Empty Daydream is a great song, more hard rock. Love their ability to change it up anytime they want which many bands can't do; most are boxed into a particular genre. Shadowmaker OMV, speed metal with harmonized solos that get you right in the feels. One of the few bands that can pull that off. Shred your face off yet so melodic that you feel it deep down inside. 🤘

When Miyako composes a demo, she includes piano, guitar, bass, drums & a vocal melody. The drums are computer generated from her keyboard. 😏♥️🎙🎸🎹🥁😎🤘 My favorite MV is " Stand & Deliver."

One of my favorite LB songs. You have Miyako's piano, backup vocals, gang vocals and the M&M show. BTW Miyako picked up the guitar at 18 and self-taught while Midori dropped out of college at 20 to enter a prestigious music school for guitar. Polar opposites who blend together perfectly and harmonize like few dual leads ever have. Asami also gets a chance here to show off that R&B/Jazz/Soul background. Haruna and Miho as usual drive this song and Miho joins the backup and gang vocals.

The opening Guitar riff Miyako is playing is influenced by the famous Eddie Van Halen riff in Michael Jackson's "Beat It". Miyako talks about being influenced by this song in a couple of interviews and used that riff as the inspiration for the riff in "Empty Daydream", very cool how Eddie Van Halen is spread into a Lovebites song. One of my favorite Music Videos is "Rising" which the song is very inspirational and motivating.

Asami lived in the States for a few years! The only other member that is pretty fluent in English is Midori, university student level. Miyako’s English is very basic, Haruna doesn’t speak English, Fami I don’t know yet.

For me, this is the definitive version and mix of this song (plus hair down Miyako is my favorite Miyako). The studio version doesn’t have the piano/vocal intro, and the one other live version I’ve heard on “Invitation to the Theater” doesn’t have the intro or have the backing vocals at this level. I haven’t heard the version from KaHG, but I’m hopefully going to order that soon.

Not sure about Miyakos skills on the drums. I believe she knows the basic. She for sure is much better at putting down drums when programming. When it comes to home studio work she is very good, so recommend checking out her videos. It's a bit about what tools she uses and how she composes.
