Konomi Suzuki did a really fucking good job on "This Game", It really shows the personallity of the main caracthers, the anime is about 2 sinbling that challengs the gods in a world where violence is forbidden, and games is the only way to solve problems. I reccomend It for everyone that likes a different kind of history. Gl guys!

Konomi Suzuki also sung for opening 1 and 3 of Re:ZERO, opening 2 of Spider So What, and opening 20 of Fairy Tail. She has a really nice voice. One of my favorite songs she's sung has got to be the ending song for The Pet Girl of Sakurasou, "DAYS of DASH". Less known today because it's a slice of life romcom from late 2012. No need for you to react to it, but I'd definitely recommend the song just from one person to another.

Season 1 of no game no life was very good, but the movie was EPIC. Easily one of the best anime I've watched. I really think you would enjoy the openings of Date A Live👍

Another one of my favorite anime of all time, THE posterchild anime of "when is it getting a season 2", people have asked for it so much and for so long that NGNL not having a season 2 has become a meme. Also, the english Voice actress for Jibril, the angel looking chick, is my favorite voice performance in anime, LOVE the nuance and slight variations she puts in every word. Plus Jibril is just the best, everyones favorite genocidal racist angel of mass destruction XD The movie for No game no life is honestly my favorite anime movie just counting "movies based on series", and high on my list of favorite anime movies in general. I don't rewatch most anime, but this one I've seen quite often, especially certain scenes and episode 6. You should also listen to the music of the movie, and Jibrils song: "my master my lord". It is definitely an anime though that requires you to be ok with the more anime side of anime, there are things here that can really put off a viewer (like the way the little sister is portrayed at times) unless they've completely bought into anime tropes and the idea that Anime just does thing different. ... Ok, brb, gotta go watch the ending of the movie again.

This is my FAVORITE anime. Short dive on it with no spoilers would be: "expert gamers get transported to a world were games are divine law". The vibe: Really funny and feel good. It has plenty of fan service but i dont think is youtube sensitive. The best part tho is the OVA (edit: i meant the movie, sorry xd), it has a deeper plot and is kinda like the backgroud of the world and is wholesome af. I love it, cant stop talking about it, aaaaaaaah i love this anime so much

So... Konomi Suzuki probably sounds familiar cause she´s made so many openings and endings in anime that she´s become pretty much iconic in the genre. Some of the openings in question include: - So i´m a spider, so what?! opening 2 - Fairy tail op 20 (in tandem with tatsuyuki kobayashi - Bubuki Buranki op - Re zero op 1 and op 3 - Higurashi no naku koro ni ED Just to name a few emblematic ones As for the plot of the series. Our 2 mmain characters are immersed into this world where everything is solved by games, and there are rules that reinforce this idea akeen to "I, robot"´s rules for robots. There are some political tones that transpire throughout the series that make playing games more compelling. Everything else about the series i won´t be disclosing due to potentially ruining the experience, if so happened you to watch it

I found this anime EARLY in my anime quest, so, the full version of This Game has been in my everyday listen playlist from the day I started it. I still get emotional hearing it reacted to. Damn. What a unique, rare, unrivaled anime.

OOOOOOH NGNL is a classic when it came out it was breaking the charts but there is still no second season even trough it would be really easy for them to make it. Cause this show was that good. That is why it is a meme in the anime comunity as the solo anime that is really good and got no second season. Modern it is a 2014 anime. Even trough it had no second season it had a movie made but not in the same time the main story progresses (it is not a spoiler so dont worry) so we dont see the main charracters. As for the vocal she did Re:Zero S2 OP ''Realize'' so that is why there is such a familiarity. Games are a theme in this anime otherwise it would not be called No Game No Life :D You would enjoy the show even trough it is really short it has some cool or really good moments. So im happy you enjoyed it.

Man you nailed it on the head, I love that most anime and anime music is very upbeat and hopeful, such a nice breath of fresh air compared to everything else. This OP never gets old, the piano and vocals just mix SOO well. You would love this anime, it's a great comedy but still has some pretty suspenseful moments, it's timeless must watch. You could jump into it right now (after you finished Slime) and enjoy the shit out of it, but it has a bunch of references to other anime to maybe wait?

Ahh.. No Game No Life, one of my favourite isekai anime

This is definitely in my top 10 anime openings 😂 especially with how gorgeous the animation is, otherwise it would probably land lower, but still awesome. I would say this anime is about 2 siblings who are really good at gaming that get re-born into a different world. All kinds of games are very present in this with a lot of fantasy elements in there. The characters are very likable and it's full of hilarious moments. Definitely worth giving it a watch even if there's only 1 season animated still after 9 years, but it's only 11-12 episodes or something so it's not a huge commitment.

I remember when Konomi Suzuki duet with Roselia performed the song "This Game" at the Anisama event, it was truly amazing

Her OP from Dusk-maiden of Amnesia, Choir Jail is my absolute favorite by her. The end song is done by the little blue-haired girl's voicer (in character). She's (Ai Kayano) has been in the business 35 years now as both a voice actress and an opening/ending vocalist. She's legendary. You're 100% right about her delivering with emotion. She's phenomenal. On an interesting note, although the anime was from 2014, they had a movie in 2017 and the creator hinted at season 2 coming just before the pandemic hit. Currently we don't have a clue if it's coming or not but with the retro rush of anime these days it's very verrrrrrry possible. Devil is a Part-timer was a 2013 anime that got it's season 2 in 2022. Tokyo Mew Mew was a 2002 anime that got rebooted in 2022. Uresei Yatsura was a 1981 anime that got a reboot in 2022. When comes to anime retro is in ... we have between 1-2 dozen anime upcoming that were long thought dead that are all set for either the reboot treatment or continuation seasons. We're living in a day when you can't count any older anime out completely. Telling you what the anime is about without spoiling is very difficult ... you're both halfway there and halfway to go on the description you gave. I will say this, you were right about those being chess pieces and the title of the show is 100% fitting for the story. It's a unique and very fun show. It was a huge unexpected hit when it came out with viewers.

As for the next opening I would advise kakegurui or inuyashiki, both great animes.

The first couple lyrics of the opening gives away the beginning of the anime. The basic premise, without spoiling, is they go to world where disputes are settled via games. Could be something as simple as a coin toss to playing chess. It's an anime that is long over due for another season but does have a prequel that is a movie. The show is quite ecchi.

The movie is actually the prequel of the anime series that takes place many thousands of years in the past, in a ravaged world caused by the endless war between the Gods and the different races. It is darker than the original series and the song reflects this.

i think the reason obsure anime sometimes rise to the top is because they are that good. they are the hidden gems people forgot or that one series that just got one season, like with movies that one classic that good because it did something new and shifted or created new genres. a good non spoiler description would be a brother sister pair playing all kind of games in a fantasy world.

The No Game No Life Zero movie is 10/10. If you are interested in this show you have to see it. In the show war is banned but the movie takes place when the world was engulfed in endless war. This makes the movie dark af compared to the comedy show.

I am pretty sure you would enjoy it. And yeah, it only has one season, 12 episodes, sadly. Because of that the anime is part of a joke about the animation studio that made it, Madhouse. In the late 2000s and early 2010s Madhouse made a number of very good animes but all stayed at one season, so when a new anime from Madhouse came out it was already joked about that there is no hope for a continuation. Overlord is the only recent exception, but also there the second season aired only 3 years after the first.
