LeAnn Rimes is a modern-day Patsy Cline in fact she sang a song called BLUE that was written for Patsy Cline and it became her first number one I believe when she was 13 years old. No, this wasn't from personal experience. Willie Nelson wrote this song. Patsy was a legend in her own time....and died tragically in a plane crash. Her later managers got her these "torch" songs because her voice was so suited to them. Her original stuff was more of a country (in the traditional sense) sound.

Early in the video there was a picture of her beside a tall man. He was also on the plane that went down, taking both of their lives. Look up the movie "Sweet Dreams" which is about Patsy and the name of I think was her last song.

The movie "Coal Miners Daughter" about Loretta Lynn tells the story of her and Patsy's friendship and how Patsy died in a plane crash. Sissy Spacek plays Loretta and actually did all the singing and was amazing.

Patsy was in a very serious car accident right before filming this video. She had a bad head injury, which is why she was wearing the head band. She cheated death in the car accident, but it came for her in the plane. 😢

Patsy fought and won the male dominated Male Industry of Country Music of the early 60’s …Then came Loretta Lynn. Patsy and Loretta didn’t take shit from any man in the Industry…These Women! Patsy was taken too soon in a plane crash but, we had Loretta for a long time. Loretta Lynn had a hard life and every song she wrote was about her life…Very controversial for the time. While constantly touring and having babies, Loretta wrote songs like: The Pill Fist City You Ain’t Woman Enough (to take my man)
