Hi Stan,I'm an "older" Pink Floyd fan who grew up listening to them. You mention u like video to see the guys playing. I would like to highly recommend you go right back to 1972 (don't let that date put you off) after all it's Pink Floyd😉 This was the main line-up after Syd Barrett dropped out and was replaced by Dave Gilmour on lead guitar / vocals:- Pink Floyd - Echoes - Live at Pompeii Where the guys play in an ancient Roman Amphitheatre with No Audience. It's split in 2 parts as the original was the entire side 2 of the album Meddle and included an extended "sound-scape" in the middle. This version a greatly reduced sound-scape starts Part 2 This makes Part 1 perfect for reaction 😉 Here's the link so no excuses 😂 BTW Echoes is just a simple little song about all life on the planet and how we are all related and should be better people. Enjoy the trip😉 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gt6bprV3v8fHen0.html

As a die hard Pink Floyd fan, the "Dark Side of the Moon" album is one actually one song...goes though birth, life, and death in sequence. To this day, I still have the original album from 1973.

As much as you enjoy seeing them perform these songs live, it is a good bet to listen to the studio versions first for their full production and sonic value. Some of which can be lost in the mix and flashy distractions of the live shows. Check out "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" 1-5 next.

That man has turned you on to the best band that will ever be!!! It will only get better with each song, there is nothing that will compare. If you can and have the time react to each album in a couple or three reactions. They made concept album, each song is connected to one another. I believe you would enjoy and understand it better if you did. But if not here are somemore of there songs to check out, "Us and Them", "Mother", "Hey You", "Another Brick in the Wall" "People Talking" , "High Hopes", "Wearing the Inside Out", "Echoes", "Shine on You Crazy Diamond", "Welcome to the Machine", Enjoy

Just a little advice from a HUGE Pink Floyd fan… albums like The Wall, Dark Side of The Moon, Wish You Were Here and Animals are concept albums. They are supposed to be listened to in their entirety. Just picking a random song is like opening a book and starting on say chapter 9. On your own listen to The Wall from start to finish and you’ll see what I mean. It’s an album about a guy who builds a metaphorical wall around himself to protect him from all the horrible things that life has thrown at him. Each event creates “another brick in the wall.” It’s one of the most amazing albums/pieces of art ever created. Also check out the movie The Wall.

Great reaction Stan! Check out Pink Floyds 1994 Pulse Concert for some of the greatest live production of Rock music you'll ever hear. 'Comfortably Numb',... 'Sorrow',... 'High Hopes',... 'Learning to Fly', and many more. I don't know how deep you are into Pink Floyd, but I've been a fan of theirs since the release of their 'Dark Side of the Moon' album in 1973, I was 17 att. They are a very special band, their music is felt by the listener as well as hearing it. David Gilmour has a gift, the way he emotes passion, expressiveness, and feel in his guitar playing like no other guitarist I know of. And I've been exposed to all the best the 1970s and 80s had to offer. Like , Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Leslie West, Alvin Lee, Carlos Santana, Ritchie Blackmore, and more!

@@Lifewithstan2020 Well, he's right, but Comfortably Numb is the hugely popular reaction one, and widely claimed one of the greatest guitar solos of all time. Either way, Dark Side of the Moon, the album this track comes from, is a concept album designed to be listened to in its entirety. Checking out your channel (Yes I'm a new SUB) and I noticed there are a few Pink Floyd songs that are must experience pieces, that you haven't gotten to yet. Blatantly missing is the Epic of "Shine On You Crazy Diamond Parts I - V and Parts VI - IX" and also "High Hopes". Now I want to express that I can see your obvious respect for this "Band" - but as you listen to them in the future, try to keep the term "Band" out of your thoughts. They are "Composers", - or as I like to put it - They are "Musical architects".

I'm sorry man, but listening to a single song from a Pink Floyd concept album like Dark Side Of The Moon, is pointless. Each section is part of a story, part of an experience. No need to react to the whole album, but listen to it and let us know how you feel then.
